if you could be anyone in Odyssey,who would you be??

That explanation does not make any sense at all! I mean, who is going to be cutting someone’s hair in the garage in the dead of winter? The garage would be freezing!!! So Bob and Jessie, please ask the producers what THEY meant when they put “don’t you remember the snowflakes” in the script. I would really appreciate it if they would answer my question on the next Producers Q and A podcast. Oh and Mercy, If I couldn’t be myself, then I would be Connie. We are a lot alike.

WOW. THE TRUTH BEHIND THE SNOWFLAKE INCIDENT WAS A DOWNER. IT SEEMS ALSO CONTRADICTORY. ACCORDING TO THE EPISODE, WHEN THE VARIOUS MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY REMIND HIM OF THE “SNOWFLAKES” IT GIVES THE IMPRESSION THAT ED, NOT HIS FATHER, BUT ED DID SOMETHING IN THE FAMILY’S PAST THAT LEFT SOME SORT OF LESSON LEGACY. TOO BAD…I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SOMETHING MORE APPLICABLE AND MORE “WASHINGTON-LIKE.”

That was kind of weird…. I agree, who would be cutting someones hair in the garage in winter. That would be really cold! I thought it should have been something like, Ed was trying to help one of his kids cut out snowflakes and he cut their hand instead. That would make alittle more sense.

Also I don’t really know who I would want to be, but some of my favorite characters are: Whit, Connie, Eugene, Jack, Jimmy, Lucy…..well, almost all of them!

It kind of reminds me of when my friend comes in 2 church one day w/ her foot all wrapped up and me and my other friends are like “Oh my word, what did you do!?!?” and she goes “I dropped a shampoo bottle on it!” and we’re like “Oh you HAVE 2 come up w/ something better than that!!!!”

I think that when they made up the explanation to the “snowflake incident,” they didn’t want it to be to ummmm… grusome, like it would’ve had to have been if it was Ed cutting someone’s hand with scissors. Cutting a hand with scissors is definitley not a very safe explanation if you have a 5 year old listening to the show. BTW, Mercy I would Probably like to Sam Johnson or Alex Jefferson, just because they are both a little like me, and cause nobody would ever think of them.

I think it would be cool to be the niece of Edwin Blackarrd. Her name would be Genevieve or a name that sounded English, she would be around 14, and she would be the daughter of Edwin and Regis’s little sister Elizabeth that died when she was in her twenties. But Genevieve would be an orphan because her dad died when she was 2 or so. And he thing is, she won’t like William Shakespeare stuff. Instead, she will love Music and want to be a world famous musician. Instead of a famous actress.

I would want to be a person on odyssey, and my person’s nom de plume would be Jazmine because there is already an african-american jessica on the show and I am african-american and my name is jessica. my character would be cheerful and quiet and would like to have adventures. her personality would reflect the more masculine spectre of the female anomolie and would have a large supply of ‘bon homie’ as well as being a christian for sub-apparent reasons and would radiate affection and speak latin.

I think that the real explanation for the snowflake incident should be-
Ed is cutting out snowflakes and he gets so involved that he starts to cut really, really badly, and when he’s done, he shows it to his family. They all agree that it looks like a piece of paper with a bad haircut…..
It doesn’t make much sense, though, but neither does the other explanation.
Yeah, the real explanation is weeeeeird.

The Snowflake incident explanation needs to be revised or changed. All the references in the story seem to point to his use of the scissors and not from some long ago incident. Ed must have been cutting snowflakes and they turned out so bad they all fell apart instead of being beautiful snowflakes. Therefore, Elaine would not want Ed to use any scissors on Marvins head. Hence, her saying, “You used the scissors.” I have been a fan for years. Thanks for being on the web.

I was listening to Sunday Morning Scramble, and Marvin says to Ed, “Dad, you’re kind of scary with scissors!! Remember that time when we were making the snowflakes and-” And then Tamika says, “You with scissors? Remember the snowflakes?” And Elaine says, “ED!! Don’t you remember the snowflakes?” I am dying to know what the real thing is!! I hope that helps with figuring it out!

I think Mr. Washington needs a new explanation regarding the snowflake incident…I got that the impression that the family(ie..Marvin, Tameka and Wife) was a witness to the snowflake incident… AND it does not quite make sense for Marvin to be so afraid of his dad handling scissors…Mr. Washington’s explanation does not fit with the family’s response…Maybe it’s just me. Hopefully in another podcast we will get a better explanation.

I was very disappointed with the snowflake explanation because I knew it had to do with paper snowflakes. I think they make the explanation something like: Tamika and Marvin were making paper snowflakes for some school assignment, and Ed (being typical helper and lover of kid stuff) decides to help them. Unfortunately, he cannot handle scissors very well. They just don’t seem to cut where he wants them to cut. He figures he can fix the snowflakes by “cutting a little more here, and some there.”

Mercy: I would be either Wooten (because I am sometimes like a grown up kid), Connie (because I am occasionally outspoken, I am stubborn, and I am usually the last to know things), or Eugene (I like using big words just for the fun of it).

Emily H.: I would make a permanent homeschooled family because I was homeschooled all the way through. I would base the family off of my own. There would be three boys and one girl. They would show the public schoolers that homeschoolers are cool too.

The snowflake incident explanation was a BIG let down. Marvin even said remember the time we were making snowflakes. Plural not singular.Plus, why wouldn’t they trust Ed with sissors if it was Ed’s dad who did the bad haircut. Plus, Marvin says, “You with sissors. I LOVE the AIO SUNDAY MORNING SCRAMBLE! I listen to it all the time! ALONG FOR THE RIDE is probably my favorite album. My FAVORITE AIO characters are definitly Wooton, and I like Mandy and Liz too, but I also like Katrina. But I was expecting something different when I heard about the ‘snowfalke incedent’. I didn’t think it really made sense with the episode. but I still LOVE Adventures in Odyssey! IT IS SO AWESOME.

I think Mr. Rathbone can be VERY dumb sometimes and he cheats people out of there money but if you listen to the Tornado eposode you will her that no one ever treated he well! So he kinda has an excuse but he still shouldn’t cheat people out of there money.
