By Catherine Wilson

“Catherine, you’re a great cook!” I love hearing those words. A few people have even told me that I have a God-given talent for making food. It’s a good thing that the people complimenting my baking didn’t try my first batch of oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies.

When I was in second grade, I asked my mom for a treat to take to school for my birthday. “Why don’t you make oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies?” she asked. Then she helped me measure the ingredients into the mixing bowl and I watched the cookies in the oven. The first pan came out burnt and hard, but my mom showed me how to use the timer. The second pan was almost edible.

The next time I tried cookies, my mom let me make them myself. Each batch I tried turned out better and better. There were still duds from time to time—a few burnt cookies here, one small kitchen fire there… Okay, okay, so the perfect batch of oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies takes a while to master! But judging from the smiles when people eat my cookies these days, I’m glad I never gave up on baking.

In “The Inspiration Station,” Matthew Parker was very talented when it came to dealing with technology. Connie said that he made the garbage disposal work even better than before. Unfortunately, Matthew also made some mistakes when working on Mr. Whittaker’s computers and caused big headaches for Eugene. Matthew decided that he was going to give up working on technology for good. “I’m not a fix-it guy. I’m just a kid,” he said.

I hope that Matthew learns the same thing that I had to learn with my baking—just because God gave us a talent doesn’t mean that we won’t make mistakes using it. But just because we mess up doesn’t mean that we have to give up.

Tell us about a time that you were tempted to quit. Did you stick with it? What are some talents that God has given you?

I think that the new picture of Connie is really cool, but on the new cover she lookes squashed. Whit’s new voice is wierd though. And please make another family like the Rathbones, because they were really funny.

When I was chosen to give a speech in front of my school, I wasn’t sure. I stumble when I speak sometimes, but I knew that I was given the gift of motivation. I stuck with it, and my entire school congradulated me on my great speech.

P.S, am I the first one to post?

  • Wes b. on March 6th, 2010 - 2:49pm

I just listened to the episode at 9:00 this morning of the 6th and I thought it was pretty good. I recorded it to listen to until album 51 is brought in the mail from Wooton. I’ll miss the Washington family, they had personality unlike Mr. and Mrs. Parker. But then again, can’t judge a character in just 25 minutes. Well, I am anxious to get to know these new characters even though I am a little upset with the new direction Odyssey is heading. Oh man, volumes 35 to 50? Those were the days..

  • Wes b. on March 6th, 2010 - 2:58pm

Wish I could taste those cookies in the imagination station! ;) I think I’d be cool if you signed your name at the bottom of each weekly episode devotion since Chris appears to be out of lesson pep talks. You could do that just to establish personality and get to know the fans. Sort of like Stan Lee did back when he was in his prime writing for Marvel comics. He always associated with his fan base.
Also, I don’t think Chris’ lesson talks are through I just think you ran out of air time! ;)

Well, I finally heard the new episode…it’s ok. I think it will take some getting use to. Also, the pace seemed much slower…I hope they will still do historic and biblical stories in the imagination station…those were my favorites. I wonder if there will be more characters added to the new updated series.

Cool, I’m the first to write on this. I like to duel, and one time I was about to give up because I kept on getting beat, but then I decided that I wouldn’t give up. And now I’m the best that my team has got. And to prove it, when I left my team they all got beat. And when I came back we won. (:

am i the first one to write?awesome.im just once again grieved at the change in whits voice…whatever go andrea.everything seems like its changing in odyssey, its so sad.all these n0obs are here and it doesnt seem much like the odyssey i grew up with… :(

  • andrea g. on March 7th, 2010 - 11:49pm

I remember this drawing I had to do back in high school… It was BAD. I was SO tempted to just quit. But then I remembered what it was about (we were working on profiling, and I was drawing a picture of a girl kneeling before a cross), and I knew I should finish it. It didn’t hurt to have the encouragement of my teacher and buddies…

  • Emma on March 8th, 2010 - 7:47am

Hey, what happened to Whit’s voice??!! It sounds so different, computerized sort of.

  • connie on March 8th, 2010 - 8:00am

    when I played bball

  • Daphne on March 8th, 2010 - 9:10am

I am good at gymnastics. I don’t usually want to quit, but sometimes I just get tired of going. I keep doing it because I like gymnastics and it’s something I’ve done all of my life. I’m praying for the right choice, but I’m still not sure.

  • rachel on March 8th, 2010 - 11:13am

I play violin I remember when I first startedI really didn’t want to practice(I think it was because I didn’t like my teacher)! :)

So in album 51, do Mandy, Liz, Jared, and Trent just disapear? Also how did Eugene get back to Odyssy after the Novacom thing? We only started listening last winter.

  • sad person on March 8th, 2010 - 11:19am

it does not feel like odyssey nemore!is what i ment

  • Andrew on March 8th, 2010 - 11:23am

To me Whit chuckles way too much. He even chuckled when Whits End was having troubles. Other than that the episode was very good. I like the new family especialy Matthew. I think He is alot like me. :)

(P.S. I think Paul Herlinger should come back. Or at least record in a seperate studio. Because I dont really recognize Whits new voice. But I guess I could get used to him after a while.)

  • Xobeo on March 8th, 2010 - 12:45pm

ANDREW, Paul Herlinger was a better vioce but he passed away on feb 2

  • Wes b. on March 8th, 2010 - 1:24pm

Okay, alot of you fellow commenters are a little confused. First of all, Paul Herlinger passed away earlier this year and he devoted most of his life to Odyssey. He could have been retired all the way back in 1996 when he joined Odyssey! But no, Paul played Whit until he was 81 years old! So don’t complain like Paul betrayed us or something. Also, this new Whit will indeed be hard to get used to but I bet fans felt that way after Hal Smith died too.

  • Wes b. on March 8th, 2010 - 1:31pm

Now, here’s an other point I’d like to make. I listened to “The Inspiration Station Part I” when it made it’s debut to society. Do you really think the writers lost their talent in the past year? I do agree that episode wasn’t the best one they’ve made but it was good ol’ Paul McCusker who wrote it. Now, he’s known for more of the older shows from the mid 1990s and in the 2000s but he hadn’t written a single show in two years before he wrote the album 48 episode, “The Other Side of the Glass”.

  • Wes b. on March 8th, 2010 - 1:36pm

What I’m saying with the above comment that I just posted is that sure, that episode has an older feel to it. You know, a more of a 1980s episode feel. But don’t worry guys we’ve only heard one episode. I kinda freaked out too at how it kind of had the simplicity of the old ones to it. I think they’re kind of going back to that it looks like. But let’s see what all of album 51 has to offer then we’ll state our opinion once we’ve heard all of what the new era of Odyssey brings to the air waves.

  • SIERRA on March 8th, 2010 - 2:35pm

its so cool I cant wait 4 the next one :)

  • SIERRA on March 8th, 2010 - 2:37pm

I also think i like the old one better :(

  • olivia :) on March 8th, 2010 - 4:09pm

I wish you hadn’t gotten a new Mr. Whittaker. He sounds like he’s only in his thirties!
I understand why, though, you got a new one and I personally think that’s smart thinking…. But still, it doesn’t seem like Mr. Whittaker anymore! It’s going to take a while for me to get used to him….
And I’m not sure I like the new characters; Matthew and his family. I haven’t given them a real chance yet but I really miss the old Odyssey.

  • olivia :) on March 8th, 2010 - 4:12pm

Everyone: Who is your favorite character on Adventures in Odyssey and why?
Mine is Jared Dewhite. He’s the most funniest character on the show!
Sadly I haven’t listened to too many episodes of him…. But that’s okay.
    …I wish he hadn’t grown up. :( :)

  • claire on March 8th, 2010 - 4:29pm

connie kendal is my absolute favorite character!

I play violin, and i never really got into it. But now, i’m one of the best in my orchestra because i stuck with it and practiced. several times i was just tempted to quit. but not anymore. actually the one episode, the reluctant rival kind of helped me.

  • Lindsey s. on March 9th, 2010 - 10:09am

    Everyone:
The reason Whit’s voice sounds strange is because Paul Herlinger, the voice of Whit died on February 2nd of this year. I agree that Andre does need to improve his “Whit” voice. However, if he had some “Whit” training, then I think his voice would be very similar to Paul’s. It is only his 1st episode as Whit, so we need to give him a try, although Paul will always be Whit to me. The episode was ok, but I think it was too similar to the very 1st episode, Whit’s Flop. I’ll give it a B-.

  • Michael on March 9th, 2010 - 11:46am

Hey, when is Grady going to be in a new episode? and didn’t you guys say the straussberg family still had unresolved issues or something like that? when are they coming back?

  • BEC on March 9th, 2010 - 11:58am

Hey odyssey was okay. I agree with Andrew it’s hard to get used to the new Whit! I’m sure I will, but it takes time and I hate waiting lol! Nevertheless, odyssey has been and will continue to be apart of my family! Odyssey is teaching me patience so I guess that’s good! lol Well THANK YOU ODYSSEY! (I know your only supposed to use one or two exclamation marks but that statement called for more!) :)

  • Odyssey#1fan on March 9th, 2010 - 12:39pm

I liked the episode a lot. I had a day like Matthew the other day, so I can relate. I like Matthew, and He’s exactly like me. I think I’ll learn to live with Andre… But I’m still sad. Andrew, Paul H. can’t come back, he passed away last month.

  • Jake on March 9th, 2010 - 12:44pm

Yea, I noticed that too about him Andrew! That didn’t really sound like him… :( I still liked the episode though! :)

  • CONNIE on March 9th, 2010 - 3:40pm

i liked the new episode. its sad that paul herlinger died. i wish that he couldve recorded a few more episodes b4 he retired tho. i’ll just have to get used to the new whit.

  • LYDIA on March 9th, 2010 - 3:56pm

Whit’s new voice was okay. I’m glad they had him narrarte the Darien’s Rise thing cuz now it’s a lot easier to get used to his voice. I don’t mind the Parker family too much. I’d have to listen to the second part to see if i like it or not.

  • sharon b on March 9th, 2010 - 6:01pm

The story line is good, I like it so far. Plus the new Whit it okay, we’ll all get used to the new voice soon, I’m sure. Although I must say that Chris’s voice didn’t sound as animated and happy as usual.

Good job, and I pray that God will bless this ministry.
PS- God has spoken to me through your shows, so keep it up!

  • Joy on March 9th, 2010 - 7:06pm

Thanks for the devotion. I love the new shows! I sat on my thumbs until 8:30 when it FINALLY aired. I think I’ll get used to Andre, though it might take awhile. I was bummed that Paul Herrlinger died, but Andre is a fine substitute.

  • ESTHER on March 9th, 2010 - 7:17pm

I like the new 51st album so far but i miss the old Whit!

  • enigma on March 9th, 2010 - 7:45pm

Well heard the first episode. I am glad the new year has started. I hope that some of the old standby characters, like Tom Riley, the Rathbones etc. make a return.

I think that Whit’s new voice will grown on me. It is just after listening to Paul H. for 15 years as Whit you have a mind image of who he is.

It will take awhile, but the show has had a real long run and hopefully it will continue.

  • LEANNE on March 11th, 2010 - 5:16pm

Yay! I’m homeschooled, too! Go homeshcoolers! What grade are you in Olivia and Emma? I’m in 8th. I thought that the Inspiration Station was OK. Out of 10 stars I would give it maybe a 6. I wish that Odyssey could always be the same, but I will eventually get used to the changes.(I hope) Odyssey is still teaching kids good values and I guess thats all that matters anyway. Keep Going, AIO!

  • Michelle on March 11th, 2010 - 6:11pm

its interesting…. But i like the old ones much better. With the old characters. Jared, Donna, Jimmy, Robin, Lucy, Tamika, Marvin, Jack, Mandie, Liz, Alex, Cal, Aubry, ETC. I’m excited about the ned odyessey, even though i know, it will never match up to the old ones. I’m still upset about the chaneg of there drawings… a lot…. i really think there changing a lot of things that dont need to be changed…. but of course, i dont work with AIO. And its there choice.

    I love Adeventures in odyssey.

  • Emma on March 15th, 2010 - 5:34pm

Yeah, Sid, I was pretty sure! I mean, as far as I know, Sidney Crosby is NOT in 8th grade! Abbie, were you on the “the Producers answer your questions….” site before? If so, hi again! What grade are you in Michelle? – you didn’t say. There are so many homeschoolers listening to AIO! I never knew that until I was on the other page (see above) and they were talking about homeschooling. :) Hi Jazmyne, you do like being homeschooled? Loryn, Viki, same question to you

Wow! I thought most people went to school! Cool! I like homeschooling.
But sometimes I wonder what’s school’s like. Have any of you homeschoolers ever wondered that? I’ve been homeschooled my whole life. :)

  • Emma on March 17th, 2010 - 5:57am

Hi Abbie! What grade are you in? And were you on the other page, the one where the producers answer your questions? If you were, hi again! if not, hi! nice to “meet” you!

  • Anonymous on March 17th, 2010 - 5:57am

That is SO cool AJ!! I wish I could juggle. Or ride a/an unicycle. Or both!

  • viki on March 17th, 2010 - 12:02pm

homeschooling is fine, its kind of wiered when you’ve been in public school practically all your life. but its nice you can take vacations when ever you want!!

Ummmm i dont know about the show……whit does NOT sound the same. i am a HUGE odyssey fan but now everything has changed!! i like the old odyssey’s alot better. no offence.the new whit almost sounds like bernard, in a way. but other whise i like the show…..i have listened to odyssey pretty much ALL my life!! i love the show!! i just like the old actors alot better…but they are still good.

  • a.w. on March 17th, 2010 - 8:45pm

Wait,… What? Where did some of you get the news that Paul Herlinger died? That’s sad! ):

  • 144h2o3t on March 18th, 2010 - 2:06pm

i agree with A.W about home schooling its fun and you dont have to be getting up alot to go to different classes. and it you need a break from school you dont have to tell your school.
    :)

  • filbert on March 18th, 2010 - 2:26pm

I like the old odyssey better!

  • olivia on March 18th, 2010 - 6:59pm

I know when I wanted to give up. Unicycleing! It took me so long to just be able to go forward. I’m glad I stuck with it, though!

  • Emma on March 19th, 2010 - 4:21am

Yeah, Olivia, I’ve wondered that too. I’ve never really wanted to go to school, though. Sometimes, if I’m angry at an assignment or something, then I’ll sort of wish that I could be in school, but that soon wears off. Oh, and I haven’t been to “real” school, either. Hi Khem! I’m in Grade7 too! :) Yes, I knew that Paul Herlinger died, so sad! So you’ve been you public (“real”) school all your life Viki?

  • Anonymous on March 19th, 2010 - 4:23am

  • franklin on March 19th, 2010 - 8:19pm

I love odyssey but one thing that I do not like is novacom is novacom gone

  • Rachel on March 20th, 2010 - 6:27am

I listen to the podcasts often (you can download them on itunes), and they give all kinds of behind the scenes information. I wasn’t crazy about the “new” Whit at first, but listening the 2nd and third time, I’m adjusting. I also listened to an interview with him on a podcast, and got to hear his heart. That helps a lot, too. I am hoping for more depth with the Parker parents soon though…they seem kind of…flimsy.

  • savanna on March 20th, 2010 - 11:58am

    i love odyssey!

  • A.G.W. on March 21st, 2010 - 3:59pm

It was ok, I liked it, but it was very confusing!I think Whit’s voice is OK, but liked the last one better, I’ve read passeges and was wondering if you are going to make more books, and if you are going to turn more of the books into Odyssey’s? And, Olivia, I am homeschooled to, and I always wonder what public school is like. I have heard that you can go to school with a friend for the day. :) hope that helps.:)

this is so cool! There are lots of homeschoolers! If anyone has gone to school, and is now homeschooled, did you like school better or do you like homeschooling?

  • Emma on March 27th, 2010 - 5:16am

Sorry,…. My last comment was to Abbie, the first part, reading it now, it sounds kind of weird!! :D
    Hi Abigail .D!!
No, Leah, we are not all homeschooled, but it’s just interesting for those of us who are, to see how many others there are who listen to Odyssey!! Are you homeschooled?
How many people would like a homeschooled family in Odyssey to stay – not just in one episode, like the girl in “You go to school where”, i’m out of space…

  • Emma on March 27th, 2010 - 5:18am

“you go to school where” (if you want to hear that episode, which is awful on the behalf of homeschoolers, whoever wrote it didn’t really know about homeschooling, here’s the link http://whitsendblog.org/2008/12/free-adventures-in-odyssey-episode-you-go-to-school-where/ ), but as a real, Odyssey family, like say, the Mulligans or WAshingtons! Reply if you agree that they should make one! (Or more than one :) !)

  • Anonymous on March 27th, 2010 - 5:19am

    aio is awesome!!

  • Olivia :) on March 29th, 2010 - 1:48pm

I agree emma! It’s like nobody understands us homeschoolers…. I’ll listen to the episode now. Oh and, Emma, did you say you’ve been homeschooled your whole life? I have. Isn’t it awesome to be homeshcooled??

  • UTBL on March 29th, 2010 - 2:59pm

Man!what happened? Album 51 doesn’t sound like aio. The new whit doesn’t sound as good(not as into it or something).I still listen 2 the old 1′s though (i’ve heard them like 150x)!

  • Abbie on March 29th, 2010 - 6:59pm

Exactly olivia. i’ve been homeschooled all my life too.

  • Emma on March 30th, 2010 - 5:07am

  • Anonymous on March 30th, 2010 - 5:10am

that adventure in odyssey that emma linked was weird! but i love aio. im not homeschooled. sorry.

  • leah on March 30th, 2010 - 9:31am

That’s a great idea Emma!!! That would be REALLY cool and yes, i am homeschooled. Sad to say though, my mom is getting really stressed about all this homeschooling stuff, and she is thinking about putting us in school again. This is our first year of homeschooling, but she is putting to much stress on herself. If you could guys, would you pray for my family? Thanks, I would really appreciate it.

  • Olivia :) on March 30th, 2010 - 11:17am

Oh, emma, I listened to the episode, and I don’t exactly know how I feel about it. It wasn’t bad, but just weird. I dunno. I actually kinda liked it though.

  • Chrissie on March 31st, 2010 - 7:21am

Hi again Emma!!! (Just to let you know my name isn’t really Chrissie … it’s Hannah, but there are already too many Hannahs commenting, so I use this name.) :)
    Homeschooling Rocks!!!

  • Olivia :) on March 31st, 2010 - 10:06am

I totally agree, Chrissie! Oops, I mean ‘Hannah’. ;) :)

  • Olivia :) on March 31st, 2010 - 10:19am

Dear FOF, I just wanted to thank you guys for all the homeschooling things you guys did. If you hadn’t done all those books and articles about homeschooling, my siblings and I would be in school and probably not be so close together.
I just wanted to thank you. My parents amde a vow to homeschool ALL of their kids. So far so good. I LOVE homeschooling. Thanks so much! u rock.

  • Olivia :) on March 31st, 2010 - 2:56pm

Dear EMMA, I’m from the USA. Is it cool living in Canada? Oh, and everyone, how did you guys here about homeschooling?
My uncle home-schooled his kids and my parents saw how great it was so they decided to homeschool us from the beginning. Plus, Focus On The Family encouraged them.

  • Anonymous on April 1st, 2010 - 5:28am

i am homeschooled too. there is a lot of homeschoolers listening. i live in france, and odyssey not only teaches me about God, it also helps me with my english! merci focus on the family!

  • Chrissie on April 6th, 2010 - 7:28am

Olivia :) , My mom thought that homeschooling would be better than public school … my dad wasn’t totally convinced about it at the beginning, but now he loves it, too!

  • Olivia :) on April 6th, 2010 - 10:03am

thanks Anonymous. But living in France is WAY cooler! Can you tell me about France? I’ve never been there.

    I’m hoomschooled too.I’m on Easter break/Spring break!

  • Olivia :) on April 6th, 2010 - 4:29pm

Cool Chrissie! Were you home-schooled your whole life? Oh, and do YOU like home-schooling? I do. It’s fun, isn’t it? And when I don’t understand something, I can just ask my mom instead of saying the question in front of the whole class and getting embarrassed. Plus, I don’t get bullied. If my seventeen-year-old brother doesn’t count a bully. No, I’m just kidding. :)

  • Emma on April 7th, 2010 - 5:08am

Hi Olivia!! Yes, living in Canada is cool! And the States are cool too! What State are you from?
I’m not really sure how my parents learned about homeschooling. Some friends, I think, mostly. And then FOF, too! (so thank you FOF!! :) ) Yeah. That’s about it!

  • Emma on April 7th, 2010 - 5:09am

and same here chrissie, my dad wasn’t so sure at the beginning either, but now he totally loves it!!

  • Anonymous on April 7th, 2010 - 5:11am

Bonjour Olivia!! Well, France is very much the same as North America, except that we speak French. :) Much like Quebec, Canada, if you have ever been there, I think. In old times it was less the same. But now France and North America is more the same. What is the place that you live like? Is it the United States of America?
    Marie

  • Olivia :) on April 7th, 2010 - 2:39pm

I live in North Carolina, USA. (United States of America).
I would very much like to go to France, Anonymous. What State do you live in? Or is France a state? (I am SO bad a geography!) ;)
What State are you from, Emma?
    Olivia

  • Emma on April 9th, 2010 - 5:06am

hmm. I just saw that my post that I had “angled” at Leah is gone. I said that I would definitely pray for her mom and her whole family. so now you know, Leah. I’m praying for you, everyday!!

  • Emma on April 9th, 2010 - 5:08am

Technically, I don’t live in any state (am I supposed to put a capital S on state? :-I ), but a province. Basically just the same as a State. My province is Ontario! :D I’m sure you could find it on the map, but it’s near Michigan and New York and yeah.

  • Emma on April 9th, 2010 - 5:10am

oh, and a seventeen year old brother – fun!! (SARCASM)!!!! I’m the oldest in our family. What’s it like NOT being the oldest?

the new stuff is so good

  • Olivia :) on April 9th, 2010 - 2:07pm

I’m in the middle of my family. It’s okay. I mean, sometimes I want to be older so I can do some of the stuff my older siblings do. But then, they have to work and find jobs and other stuff too, so I’m kinda glad just to be a kid. What’s it like to be the oldest Emma? Oh, and how old are you? I’m 11.

  • Emma on April 10th, 2010 - 5:38am

I’m 12. You, Chrissie (Hannah :) )? And that is SO cool Chrissie, about having younger sisters with the same names as Olivia and I!! :D Are you the oldest, Chrissie?
Olivia… Being the oldest is a lot of fun, but sometimes I wish I had an older sibling. I’m the guinea pig (!! :P ), and in some cases that is TOTALLY OK, but in others, it’s like I didn’t get to do something, but then they get to do it at a younger age….. So in that way it’s pros and cons.
    And then there’s the “responsibility”

  • Emma on April 10th, 2010 - 5:40am

that big word that parents like to use!! :) so there’s pros and cons in that too. lots of jobs, but more freedoms etc.
ive never not been the oldest, so i don’t know how different it is, to explain it to you, I guess compared to my other sibs, but…. :D

  • Anonymous on April 10th, 2010 - 5:41am

Oh, Olivia, I’m from North Carolina too!

  • Olivia :) on April 12th, 2010 - 11:23am

Cool Chrissie! That’s so cool you have little sisters who have our name! How many sisters and brothers do you have, Anonymous, Emma, and Chrissie/Hannah?
I have six. (Seven including myself.)
I wish I could tell you what town I live in, anonymous! But I’m not sure I’m aloud too.
Have you ever been to Blue Jay point? It’s some playground that I used to live around.
But I’ve moved rescently. My mom used to take us there when I was younger. :D

  • Chrissie on April 12th, 2010 - 1:02pm

Emma, I’m 13 … and the oldest. I totally agree about being the “guinea pig” and the whole responsibility thing!!

  • Emma on April 12th, 2010 - 8:33pm

    What year did you turn 13 in Chrissie/Hannah? 2009 or 2010? :D I’m turning 13 in 25 days!!
Being the oldest is LOTS of fun, though, for all the responsibility etc… :P
Olivia :) , I’ve got 4 sibs, there are 5 of us including myself. 7 in my family including my parents! :) ;) I love these little smiley face thingys!!
Am I correct in saying that you are from PA, and have 4 sibs too, and 3 sisters and 1 brother Chrissie? :D
BTW, I have 3 sisters and 1 brother too! (That is “too” if you reallydo

  • Anonymous on April 12th, 2010 - 8:36pm

And you are SO lucky, Olivia :) , to have 6 other siblings!! And a twin!! :D

  • Emma on April 12th, 2010 - 8:38pm

oops, that comment about you having 6 siblings and a twin, Olivia :) , was from me, even though my name isn’t in it, and it says Anonymous….. :D
Me :) ;) 8) :D 8D ;D Love these smiley face things, gotta see if these ones work!! :D

  • Anonymous on April 12th, 2010 - 8:39pm

Olivia :) , Blue Jay Point sounds familiar…. Not sure if I’ve been there, but I’ve definitely heard of it! :D
BTW, I’m the one from North Carolina! :)
    Joel
    And I have 2 siblings… 3 including me! :)

  • Chrissie on April 14th, 2010 - 5:37am

Yep Emma, I live in PA, have three younger sisters and a younger brother! I turned 13 last year … happy 13th birthday to you 23 days early!!!

  • Olivia :) on April 14th, 2010 - 8:11am

    Ha ha, guys!
I have no idea how you got it to say you were anoymous, Emma. ;)
Wow! They totally changed it here. Cool!
I have three sisters and three brothers. The oldest is my brother, Chris: 17
    Then: Robin, 16
    Then: Danny, 14
Then: me, Olivia, and my twin, Michelle, 11
    Then: James, 9
    Then: Joy, 7
Wouldn’t it be so cool if we’ve actually seen each other before, Anonymous?
Oh, and I know this is a silly question: what’s BTW?

  • samuel on April 14th, 2010 - 10:37am

i’m a home schooler my self thanks odyssey

  • Chrissie on April 14th, 2010 - 2:57pm

Olivia, BTW stands for “By the Way” … whenever I read that I still have to pause a moment to remember what it means!!! ;)

  • Emma on April 15th, 2010 - 4:18am

Sorry for not making BTW clear…. I still have to think for a minute too, and go, OK, that’s by the way. Cuz there are so many little speech shortforms! I think they call them “Texting Shorthand”.
    Hi Samuel!

  • Emma on April 15th, 2010 - 4:20am

Wow!! This thing says that I put my comment in at 4:18 am, but that must be in some other time zone, because it’s NOT 4:18 am here, it’s 6:18 am….

  • Emma on April 15th, 2010 - 4:20am

    :) :D

  • Anonymous on April 15th, 2010 - 4:23am

Yeah, Olivia :) , that would be cool! But theres no way that we would ever know that. :( Unless you went around asking everywhere for a Joel who qualifies: listens to Odyssey and loves them (:) ), lives in North Carolina, and knows where Blue Jay Point is!! :D

  • Olivia :) on April 15th, 2010 - 6:57am

    Thanks Chrissie. ;)

  • Olivia :) on April 15th, 2010 - 2:41pm

Ha-ha. Right, Anonymous. :) Does anyone know what station Adventures in Odyssey is?
I keep trying to find it but I can’t.
    Olivia
P.S. Emma, what country are you from?

  • kels on April 16th, 2010 - 2:18pm

I think we should also bring back Bethany Sheperd, who is probably high-school now?

  • leah on April 17th, 2010 - 6:07pm

Thanks Emma!!! Ever since then, we have been doing a lot better!! Thanks so much for the prayers!! You don’t know how much that meant to me!!!

    Thanks again,
    Leah

  • Emma on April 21st, 2010 - 5:44am

Olivia:), are you trying to find a station to listen to AIO on? If you are, one way to find out what station near you plays AIO, is on the home page of whitsend.org down in the bottom right corner, there is a little thing that says FIND A STATION, and then you put your zip code in, and it tells you. And I’m from Canada!! :)
I’m glad the prayers helped Leah, God is so great!

  • Anonymous on April 21st, 2010 - 5:50am

I don’t know about bringing Bethany Sheppard back. Hm.

  • leah on April 23rd, 2010 - 5:24pm

    Emma,
That’s just it, I know I have tried a lot too, by typing the zip code and all, and all I get is a band organ?! Where do they sell their Cds except by online?
    Thanks,
    leah

  • Emma on April 26th, 2010 - 6:45pm

Well, Leah, I think that you should be able to find some at your “nearest Christian Bookstore”. What State are you from? and is this the link you tried?
    http://www.whitsend.org/radio/findastation.cfm
hmm. otherwise, I don’t know what to do… It doesn’t work for us, because we have a Postal Code, and that has letters in it as well as numbers, but we have friends in the States, and we try their zip code and it works… :} Sorry I can’t help more, and that’s weird about the band organ!! :D

  • Emma on April 26th, 2010 - 6:45pm

    And I’m still praying!! :)

  • Anonymous on April 26th, 2010 - 6:57pm

hi leah, im not emma, but maybe i can help. do you have a christian bookstore near you? most christian bookstores have them, and if not they can usually order them.

  • Olivia :) on April 27th, 2010 - 12:45pm

Anonymous, please don’t take this affencivly, but I was wondering: are you a girl or a boy? Sometimes you say your name is Joel, and then other times its another name… I think.

  • Anonymous on April 28th, 2010 - 4:59am

Hello Olivia! I (I can’t speak for other Anonymouses (would that be Anonymice?:) ), just for myself) am a boy, and my name is Joel. However, looking back on comments past, I see that there was another Anonymous that you “spoke” with, and I believe that Marie is a girl’s name. (The one from France). Does that clear somethings up?
I hope that helped! :D Joel

  • Olivia :) on April 28th, 2010 - 6:48am

  • Olivia :) on May 5th, 2010 - 2:57pm

I’m really started to get used to the new Whit voice… I guess. Does anyone else feel the same? I mean, he has a good voice. But at first I thought he didn’t fir Mr. Whittaker at all. But now he sounds Okay. Anyone starting to get used to him?

  • Olivia :) on May 5th, 2010 - 3:00pm

P.S. Please make a system where we can search an episode and listen to it. I REALLY want to listen to some varius episodes. Could you please reply to this?

  • leah on May 5th, 2010 - 6:22pm

Thanks Emma and Anonymous for helping me out!!! And thanks for praying!
    Leah

  • leah on May 5th, 2010 - 6:31pm

Has anyone heard of the radio station Reach FM? It’s an awesome Christian radio station. I will look up some of the stations for it if any of you are interested. And I also know it has some Focus on the family things on it as well, i don’t think it has AIO though.
    leah

  • Emma on May 6th, 2010 - 4:18am

    Hello Olivia!
I agree. A lot. At the beginning, I didn’t think his voice was very “Whitty”. But that was just because it was new, I guess. :) He sounds more Whit-like now. Great going Andre!

  • joseph on May 8th, 2010 - 6:41pm

  • Emma on May 10th, 2010 - 5:11am

Hi Leah!! Does Reach FM have a website? Cuz if they do, they probably have a program guide or a schedule, and you could look on that and see if they have AIO? And you’re VERY welcome!! I pray every morning!

  • Anonymous on May 10th, 2010 - 5:12am

Oh, yes, I have heard of Reach FM Leah! Yeah, it’s pretty awesome!
