I personally do not recommend anybody listen to the ceiling fan podcast. In my personal opinion, it has way too much rock-like music and one of the main characters seems way too stuck on himself. It’s not something I would want people to listen too, even if it is somewhat Odyssey connected. Anyway that is my opinion so feel free to disagree if you want.

I’ve researched this for years. Listening to all the episodes, and putting everything together. There is no question of where it exists. It is in southeastern Ohio.

They talked about where Odyssey is on a podcast. They said that it is not actualy based in any state. But I think if it were it would be in Misorri.

On the where Odyssey is not Page it says odyssey COULD BE IN: Alabama,Delaware,Georgia,Illinois,Louisiana,Minnesota, Missouri,North Dakota,Ohio,Rhode Island,South Carolina,or Wyoming. Hm… Where do you think it is? I hope it is in S.C. or Ohio.

I Know where Odyssey is! The town of Centerville, IA in Appanoose County fits the bill. It is a small Midwestern town with a lake and larger lower-class city nearby.(Ottomwa, IA in real life, Connelsville in Odyssey)It is also a days drive or so from Chicago IL. In addition the Underground Railroad came right through our county like it did in Odyssey.We also have a woman mayor.(Margret Faye in Odyssey) But truly think that Odyssey is only to be found in the imaginations of listeners worldwide.

The only thing wrong about Odyssey being in Ohio is that you have to drive through the state of Indianna to get to Chicago, Illinois.(not that that’s a BIG deal) But, yeah, I think it’s either in Illinois or Ohio.

I don’t know why they’re posting this. Odyssey is a made up town, so are they tring to find a town that represents Odyssey. In that case try Clammoth Falls. My grandma lives there, and one of the writers based Odyssey off of that town.

Hey it’s me again. I have a hint to where Odyssey might be. It has to be close to Greensburg is in South carolina right, and they got to Greensburg in like thirty min. in the other side of the glass. so try around there. But remember Idaho has so many towns close enough to be Odyssey.

Me again. I was looking at a blog where it said where Odyssey could not be. It said idaho because someone mentioned Kuna Idaho. Well that is not one of the towns i’m talking about. Odyssey could be in a town up North and since the comercial was local it could still be in Idaho just not Kuna. So most people up North in Idaho will not see a local Kuna comercial so it still could be in Idaho please consider this, please:) Sorry about being persistant about Idaho i just want this state to get ..

Odyssey is not in Colorado Spring, Thomas, it is a place of imagination, you know a place that the writers and creators created. THey are just trying to find a town that is like Odyssey. The Whit’s End is in Colorado Spring, only because that is where the focus on the family studios are. Hope this helps!

Whoever said Odyssey is in southeastern Ohio is absoluely correct (and I am a 20+ year fan who has also heard every episode multiple times) Considering Whit’s End’s role in the Underground Railroad and proximity to the Ohio river, as well as the fact that the nearest major city is Chicago and the characters often fly there (not drive, as one person commented–they never drive to Chicago) and the fact that California is a three-day bus trip…it’s OH, baby.

Me and my family listen to every day even on the week end at 7:30 in the morning.Even my sister does she is 22 and when I go to her we sit and eat popcorn and listen to Odyssey…it’s fun .

I wonder where odyssey is? Where do you think it is? Where is it? Isn’t Odyssey on the border because in one of the episodes one of Jerry’s friend escapes to Canada because he does not want to fight in the Vietnam war. Odyssey is not in the South! Odyssey is in somwhere in Illinois because they are constantly flying to Chicago. Why would Odyssey be on the Mexican Border when they go up to one of the lakes in either Minnisota or Wisconsin.

I am listinging to the first episode and I do not hear anything about Ohio. In episode 2 they say that the family moved from Columbus and it has to be near Chicago so it must be in Indiana!!

The reason that I think that Odyssey is in Indiana, is that Columbus, Ohio and Chicgo re the two major cities! I think that the people who are doing the search should have listened to all of the Odyssey episodes from album 1 to album 51 and gather clues (like what major cities are around!). I just have one question for those people who think that Odyssey is Idaho did the Underground Railroad go through there? I know that there are many small towns in Idaho. (Go stephanie!)

I think that Odyssey moves, depending on the episode. We know that there are mountains near it, we know that it is close to Chicago, and we know that it is surrounded mostly by other small towns. I’d narrowed it down to Illinois or Colorado, but in one of the episodes where Eugene and Bernard are on their roadtrip to San Diego, they stop in Colorado. This, to me means that Odyssey is in Illinois.

I just wanted to say to you Girly Chef, that i just wanted to say that for us Idaho has many towns that have kind and friendly people, small shops, (Eagle Idaho has an old icecream parlor) Like you said Idaho does have a few flaws to be for sure Idaho, but you know what name any town and i can give you one flaw of why it cannot be Odyssey. I think that Idaho has a few towns that come super close to being Odyssey. I don’t mean to offend but don’t say anything mean about us liking Idaho.

I know where Odyssey is!!! in the episode The Underground Railroad 1 2&3 they say “there is the Ohio river!” then they come to the whits end building!

I think that Odyssey is in Carolina because in The Other Side of The Glass Bernard and Wooton made several trips to Greensboro. And I’m guessing they didn’t travel across the USA quite a few times (and that quick by car) to investigate a case about a symbol. But then of course, with Wooton you NEVER know:)

I still think that Odyssey is in Indiana because yes even though in the episode The Single Vote they say he was an Indiana but the story takes place in Texas and calling someone an Indiana farmer is an expression!

in the episode waylaid in the windy city connie and whit had to fly to chicago so we know it now there. eugene and barnard took a road trip to Calafornia so we know its not there either……..
