This is so cool! It made me squeal like a little girl. I loved all of the little “Did you know?” facts and the tidbits from the script. Those were all very interesting. I also think it’s pretty amazing that Phil Lollar was able to write both Part 1 and Part 2 in just over a week.

I want the Blackgaard Chronicles so badly… Keep up the great work, guys!

  • CHRIStian A. on August 24th, 2011 - 12:02pm

  • REk27 on August 24th, 2011 - 2:42pm

@ birdwatcher: Maybe that means one of my favorite characters *coughJasoncough* is getting “in over his head”. I really want to hear “that talk” that Whit said he and Jason were going to have some time… I love being irritated by reckless characters. :P

I can’t wait to listen to this! I only recently found *OK so a friend told me about it* this site and (as I LOVE Odyssey I am really looking forward to all of the great features.) Which reminds me. Thanks for providing this site and the Adventures in Odyssey series! The latter has been a true joy and I trust that the first will not disappoint!

  • Elwynois on August 24th, 2011 - 7:02pm

Hey, I have a question – will there ever be a time when Odyssey will just stop making new shows like ‘Down Gilead Lane’ and some of the other radio shows did? I was just wondering but could I have an answer? Please?!

I am so glad that they are doing more with Jason in Album 55. I was really dissapointed that he wasn’t more involved with “The Green Ring.” He mysteriously showed up (which was cool) but then didn’t really come back in until the end. So, YAY Odyssey for doing more with him. I hope he is the same “reckless” (as Tasha says) Jason but that he will make some good choices (in the past he’s made a lot of dumb ones!).

The actress who played Tasha passed away, i can’t believe it. I think i’m gonna faint.

  • RJOy on August 27th, 2011 - 1:26pm

This is so wonderful!! I really, really, really, want to get the ‘Blackgaard Chronicles’!
They asked about Regis and Edwin having a sister, but then why didn’t Edwin mention her. Well, if there really is someone like that, I feel very sorry for her. Can you imagine having a brother who doesn’t like Mr. Whittaker?!
And it’s so funny that Tasha used Scotch tape! It’s sad she died. L
I agree with REK27, I LOVE being irritated by reckless characters.
My favorite female character is Connie and my favorite male character is Jason. But overall my favorite is Mr. Whittaker. Other then Dr. Regis Blackgaard, who DOESN’T love him!?!?

I can’t wait! We’re driving all night, which means we get to listen to Odyssey all night long! (It’s a family rule!) @HL, The chess peices are Whits End, Whit, Connie, and Eugene. There’s a person on the black side, but I don’t know who it is.. Oh cool, the imagination station is there to. I LOVE JASON!!

  • DANACA on August 29th, 2011 - 8:23pm

I’ve listened to AIO since as long as I can remember, and wish so badly if you could bring back some of the old characters like Bernard (I miss him so much!), Jack, the Washingtons, Liz, Mandy, Jared, Trent, Sam, Rodney, and my all-time favorite MITCH! I was so happy to see Jason and even Monty in Green Ring because they were from the old days, but it would be the perfect birthday present if ANY of these old Odyssey characters came back. PLEASE consider doing another reunion episode or something

Album 55! jason chases Mr. Grote!

  • ILOVEBUCK on August 30th, 2011 - 6:40am

Jason is sooooo cool! “The name’s Bond. James Bond.” I love it! It was so sweet with Tasha, but How it ended between them was so sad.

Hey, I was thinking: What if Jason, Monty, Tasha and Mitch join up to go after Mr. Grote?
Wait, i have an idea. Monty can be working as a secret agent with Tasha, and they’re going after Grote. Tasha Nad Monty don’t know that Jason is working undercover as a mole, But Jason knows they are, and Monty could lead Tasha to Christ. Somebody please reply! Is it good?

  • ILOVEBUCK on August 30th, 2011 - 6:44am

If you all think that;s a good idea, then I could write out an episode or two for AIO. I love writing! Especially fiction. If you like Janette Oke or Louisa May Alcott, you woul like my novels. You all will be the first to know (or maybe the third or fourth) when I get published!

  • Anna on August 30th, 2011 - 9:34am

Sheyenne: I love the idea!!! Hope you have a great time and all the others at your church too ;) I don’r have any ideas but I’ll keep thinking. Not much of a decorator. Anyone who’s seen my room would know :P

  • Regollin on August 30th, 2011 - 11:40am

Well, Sheyenne, for one thing you have to think of some Bible story that kids can realate too. One that showes the power of God and is exiting! something like david and goliath or a different one with young people in it. You can think of a fun way to do it and make a parody of something and art projects that relate with the story. I’m one of the leaders for sunday school at my church and I know that kids like to do hands on things. I hope you like my idea!
    God bless :)

Hey! Great podcast/popupisode! This episode is simply GREAT. But since when is anyone so perfectly normal under so much pressure and such danger? But I guess that’s just his charicter, though it is a bit unrealistic. Oh well, it may be unrealistic, but that doesn’t make it any less intresting or funny. In fact, it makes it more intresting AND funny. Great episode!

  • NC BBQ on August 31st, 2011 - 7:49pm

Maybe when Jason goes to London to chase Mr. Grote, he could run into Mitch. Maybe Mitch is also after Mr. Grote or maybe Mr. Grote could go from London to Budapest (which is where Mitch presumably still is). Many fans have been asking for Mitch for a long time and maybe the producers want to bring him back. Remember the allusion to arem during the Album 52 Avery’s? I don’t know but maybe this could be a way to possibly bring Mitch back to Odyssey. I know this is all far-fetched but there would

  • NC BBQ on August 31st, 2011 - 8:01pm

seem to be some reason to send Jason back overseas. If he went for just an episode of two then I can understand that. But something long-term would seem to mean something else is going on. Because it wouldn’t make sense to send Jason away right after they brought him back. But it would be cool if they did somehow end up bringing Mitch back. Again, this is all just far-fetched speculation, so I can’t wait to find out.

  • NC BBQ on August 31st, 2011 - 8:07pm

P.S.—If Mr. Grote can be seen last in Hong Kong, and the next time we see him is in London, it stands to reason that he CAN go to Budapest (or wherever) any time he wants to. I just had a idea–maybe Jason could be sitting doing something on his computer trying to break in to some of Mr. Grote’s computer files or something, and a message from arem can pop up on his screen telling him how to do it. that’s what he did in Novacom.

YO FTU! SO, Jerry never died. He crashed and was captured by the Vietamese. After the war, he had to go to a hospital. He had serious amnesia (because of the crash) about his life before the war, but was so good with the (some secret service… FBI? CIA?) that they recruited him. He winds up in odyssey somehow. :)

@ Singin’: Whoa! 17 and 1/2??? Now I understand why you said that thing about explaining for younger people. Or something like that. Thanks for posting here, I appreciate it! ;)
@ TMACRULES: Yes! I had the amnesia thing in my plot too! Only, I thought that instead of being captured, he was rescued by a peasant family that has a daughter, about his age. Of course, we can all see how that will turn out! And after she dies, he goes back to the U.S. and starts working for, um, the NSA! Just like his younger bro. At least, I think that’s what Jason used to work in. And then, somehow, he ends up Odyssey. Perhaps because there is that younger person with him. You remember, the cousin of Monty. And she’s interesting. Very interesting…………

A lot of fans are wanting Mitch to come back and marry Connie but wouldn’t that destroy her character? I mean she’s supposed to be the teenager (who’s been a teen for a least 20 years) who works at Whit’s End. If she marries she’ll probably stop working at Whit’s End and maybe have kids. Can you imagine that? NO CONNIE AT WHIT’S END. Now that’s the end of the world! I think the same for Jason. He CAN’T get married. By the way, how old is Jason? Isn’t Monty 19 or 20? I think they mention that on GRC.

  • RJOY on September 4th, 2011 - 12:25pm

@ Regollin: Interesting idea! Only, I’m a bit hesitant to call Blackguard back. I like the thought of him sneaking onto something and getting dropped into Odyssey. Sounds real exciting! 8-) And I’ll pray for you will you’re down in Louisiana! I used to live in Wisconsin, too. ;)
@ Tmacrules: We should probably send our story ideas to that address they give on the end of the episodes! After all, as Chris says, “If you ever want to write us, just send your card or letter to Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80995.” Or something like that! Only, we need to get permission from our parents to do so. That’s what these AIO people always say when they tell us how to contact them!
@ RJOY: Let me remind you that what Mr. Whittaker saw was what HE thought Heaven would be like. It was just a figmant of his imagination. And since he believes Jerry to be dead, he naturally imagines that Heaven will have Jerry in it. I hope that answers your question! Oh, and I made up the thing about Monty’s cousin. She’s Jerry’s, you know. ;)
@ Roa: AHA!!! So you reveal it at last! You are older than the rest of us! :)
@ Megi: Oooooh, that idea with Grady is great! I think I’ll use that one too! If you don’t mind. ;)
@ Elwynios: Nah, I don’t mind nosy people! Don’t worry about being nosy around me! ;) Nope, it’s not Marian. But that’s so close! You’re so close to achieving your goal! Keep it up!!! :)
@ Jason: I live in North Carolina, too!

@ Regollin: It’s a simple trick, really. All you have to do is type out whatever you want to say on sticky notes or open office, and then past and copy it into the “Post-A-Comment” box. And there you go! It doesn’t work for names, though. I found that out when I tried to post as “Lamb of the Shepherd Gaal!” ;)

Jason, I love Andy Griffith! I liked the earlier seasons better, though. I couldn’t believe they took Barney out. He & Andy were the heart and soul of Mayberry. What do you think?
I was born in the southern part of NC.
I like Harlow Doyle. I wish he was still in Odyssey. I wonder what happened to his actor?

TMACRULES & FTU, thanks! You’re right. How old was Jerry when he went to the war? And how old would he be now?

SW,N,AIO, Thanks!! Are those of all the emoticons? And, if I may ask, what does your post name stand for? Thanks again.

    @ RJOY
Actually Harlow Doyle is still in Odyssey. :D He is on the list of current characters on the writing contest page. It would be pretty bad if something happened to his character because he is voiced by the same guy that does Eugene’s voice. And I agree with you about Andy Griffith. The first few seasons are my favorite. After the first season, Mayberry became less of a hick town. Gomer made up for it, but then he left too. But I still have to say that to me it is the best TV show of all

  • Jason on September 8th, 2011 - 9:33pm

(ran out of room) time. I can’t think of a TV show that was better, funnier, higher-rated, not pointless, and was still wholesome entertainment.

@ Cjoy: Nope, it’s not that. I’m a girl, remember. But it has two letters from my nRaIme in it. ;)

    @ RJOY
    some of my favorite episodes…
The Manhunt – the one where the escaped criminal comes to Mayberry and he gets caught when he tries to get away in a boat that leaks

The Pickle Story – the one where Aunt Bee tries to make homemade pickles

Anything with the Darlings or Ernest T. Bass

  • Jason on September 12th, 2011 - 6:55pm

One of my favorite scenes is the one where Andy goes in the drugstore to get something for a cut on Barney’s finger. The ladies overhear and spread it around town. By the time it’s made the full circle, it’s gone from it being a small cut, all the way to him accidentally shooting himself in the chest. The funniest part is when someone calls to say that, and Barney picks up the phone. And then when everyone comes to comfort Andy, and then see Barney standing there. That was funny!

    @ Jason,
That’s so funny!! :D I love those! I think I’ve seen everyone of those episodes. I saw that scene a pretty long time so I don’t remember it as well as I do the others.
How DID you figure that out?!! (FTU’s age, I mean) I haven’t studied algebra yet. Right now I’m learning the tiniest of the tiny of what my Mother says is beginning algebra. ;)
By the way, what grade are you in?

    @ FTU,
WOW! I’m not yet doing algebra! How did you come up with that? What grade or level are you in?
5 to 6 years? So if Jason is 25 or 26, Jerry might be 31 or 32, right? Or is Jason older?
If so my heart is dashed to pieces. (Just kidding) What I really mean is, “Mercy, NO!”

    Anonymous or Regollin,
Why do you use both names?
Anyway, That’s SOOO cool! I’m also 12. I’ve been wondering if I was the only 12 year old posting. I no longer feel deserted. And, no, I don’t know whether or not it IS 700th level is 7th grade. I just heard an acquaintance mention something like.
How many brothers and sisters do you have? Do you like reading?

    Hey Stormy!
Sorry I got that wrong! So Sheyenne is your sister? I’m 12! I turn 13 in May. A long time away, I‘m afraid. When I was in 100th to 500th level I used ACE but after that I used SOS. I do all of my subjects on SOS now. But when I finish this level, I’ll probably use ALEKS for math. I’ll check out Teaching Textbooks!

Sheyenne, I know how you feel! I’m a big sister too! (Though I’m also a younger sister)
    I’ll pray for you!

@ Regollin; I think it’s a really cool name! It just rolls of your tongue. No, it isn’t May. Look to Elysibeth for the answer. ;)
@ Rjoy: I based my assumption on the fact that
I started algebra in my freshmen year and you
didn’t sound as if you were in high school yet.
Forgive my assumption, perhaps I was wrong?
I think Jason is more like, 30 or 34. That would make
Jerry 36-40 or so, which is the perfect age for him.
I mean, because of he’s a dad. Yes, Jason is older
than you thought. GASP!! I hope there are
some pieces of your heart left. :) BTW, nice, long
    comment there. Good job. 8-)

I think I’m gonna start a Andy Griffith quote of the day so here it is
Andy and Opie are playing checkers
O:”You sure you wanna move there pa? I can jump ya”
A:”Go ahead, you’ll fall right in with my plan”
    O:”OK. I jump here”
    A:”Now watch this”
O:”I aint finished pa. I also jump here, here, here, here, and here”
    (Andy watches in disbelief)
    O:”Got any plans now pa?”
A:”Yeah I got plans to quit playing with you”

Wow! Congrats Elysabeth! You’ve accomplished what I’ve been trying to do for, well, days.
FTU – you have a pretty name by the way. What I meant by Rival was you two never seemed to get along by what you posted and stuff, and you were arguing over whether OMG was swearing or not, so I just assumed that.

@ Jason, Oh, that’s an awesome idea! I remember that quote! What episode was that? Didn’t Barney or Floyd come in to the jailhouse after that? I like Floyd. He’s quite a character. ;)
I’m 12, by the way. My sister is 16.

FTU, I’m homeschooled and we don’t do grades. I might be in 7th but I’m not sure whether that’s in high school or not. I’m in the 700th level. I don’t mean to be rude but you must be one of the most amazing students I’ve ever heard of. You’re 10 and you’re a freshman? That is extraordinary! You are genius, no doubt. As for posting, I learned from the best! 8-)I think I’ve salvaged a few remaining pieces of that heart and am almost myself again. You’re probably right on Jason’s age. Jerry was married? I wasn’t aware of that!

@ Stormy, ACE is product of School of Tomorrow. Have you heard of that? It’s been around a quite some time. It uses PACES, little booklets. It’s a great fun for children.

This podcast can show you a basic overview of how every Adventures in Odyssey episode is created. How they fit it all into thirty minutes is amazing!
I have wondered for a while, though. In the Novacom Saga, when Sara and Mandy saw Jared Dewhite,(I believe his story, by the way), when he said that his father was in the witness protection program and that is why they left Odyssey, did him and his family ever return to Odyssey?

What we do for Halloween at my church is on Halloween we have sort of a game night so that kids will have something they can do instead of going trick-or-treating. And we even give out sacks of candy so they have just as much of a reason to come to church instead of going trick-or-treating.

Ok. so here’s today’s Andy Griffith quote. It is also from “The Merchant of Mayberry”:
Barney: “You know what I’d have said if he’d talked to me like that? I’d have said ‘Who died and left you the boss?”Why don’t you go sit in the grocery store so we can all know you’re the big cheese?”

  • Jeremiah on September 20th, 2011 - 9:49pm

@All you homeschool guys (and girls, too!): can I be in the club too? I was homeschooled until I was in 6th grade. Then when I went into 7th, I started going to a Christian School, where we used ACE (@Rjoy: You liked PACEs? Really? I hated them. In fact, they taught me how to cheat – but that’s a different story) We switched to a classical education system, with teachers in a regular classroom (no chalkboards, thank God!) when I was in 8th grade.

@FTU: How DID you get so long a post?

  • Jeremiah on September 20th, 2011 - 9:50pm

@Tmacrules, or whoever else it was wanted to write a new episode: I’ve got an idea for you. I really don’t think Jerry should still be alive – that would completely change the whole history of Odyssey as we know it. I read a book not too long ago where the main character’s first husband, who was an FBI agent, had died, but the FBI had someone that looked exactly like him and used him to throw everyone off kilter – try that for a story line.

  • Jeremiah on September 20th, 2011 - 9:53pm

@FTU What!? You’re only 10?! You write like an adult!
BTW, for those of you still trying to figure it out, here’s how it works. I put each step in parentheses:
    12+2x-18=18x-166
    12+2x-18 (+166)=18x- 166 (+166)
    160+2x=18x
    160+2x (- 2x)=18x (-2x)
    160 (/16)= 16x(/16) – x=10!
Sorry, it’s not a perfect explanation, but hopefully you get it. If you don’t, let me know and I’ll try to give a more verbal explanation…

    @FTU: It’s still not working…

  • Jeremiah on September 20th, 2011 - 9:54pm

@Sheyenne: great Halloween idea! Actually, I’ve done it before, oddly enough. My last Halloween that I actually celebrated, we lived in Germany, and I dressed up as David! I even had my own little sling and everything. In fact, a lot of other homeschool families there in my church did it, too, and they used it as a great witnessing tool.

    @Rachel: That’s cool! I live in Utah! We’re neighbors! :)

So I guess my name has something to do with eggs. like scrambles or plastic. :D

  • ftu on September 22nd, 2011 - 6:13pm

@ Rjoy: It’s true. I don’t know that much about Andy Griffith, but I do know that much. How? Because Otis is a character from the computer game Half-Life, which I play.
@ Jeremiah: The long post is a long story. To make it short, you write down what you wanna say on notes or Notepad and then copy and past into comment box. Presto! I AM NOT 10! I am older than that. 10=x. You must plug x into the equation. That’s the way algebra works. ;)
@ Elwynios: I am a teenager. ;) All evidence may point otherwise, but you have to put x into the equation to get the correct answer. IT’S ALGEBRA! If you don’t get it at first, don’t worry. I didn’t either, and I still have trouble with it. ;)

When is this episode album coming out? :S

  • yoda on September 23rd, 2011 - 1:31pm

Yeah, Hal Smith (Otis, Mr. Whittaker) are the same. You can kinda hear it in the Andy Griffith Show. And thats why, in the episode where the guy tries to rob Whits End (I forget what its called) the only thing in Whit’s safe is a signed picture of Andy [Griffith].
We love and miss you, Hal! :tears:

OK now I get it. I assumed that x=your age. So yore age=14
    @RJOY
I have the first 4 seasons on DVD, but that’s all I have ever seen. I don’t have cable or satellite tv or any other kind of tv hookup (but I do have a tv). So if I don’t recognize something you talk about, that’s probably why.
I’m not sure if I have a single favorite quote, but I can narrow it down to a few. I will post some of them.

  • Jason on September 26th, 2011 - 8:27pm

    1. Barney: “Oh, I forgot to sign off.” (talks into the radio) “Uh, Mayberry unit #1, uh over and-and roger – uh uh ou-out and under – uh f-four ten – t-ten forty – uh…bye.”
    2. Andy: “Gomer, I don’t want you to tell anyone about this.”
    Gomer: “Not even you?”
    3. Barney: “Oh, your just full of fun aren’t you. Why don’t we go up to the old people’s home and wax the steps?!”
    4. Barney: “That’s them! It’s the crooks!”
Gomer: “Shazaam! We’d better call the police!”
Barney: “We are the police, Gomer!”

    @ all Andy Griffith fans
Have any of you heard the song “Nip It” by Bruce Frye? He is an ex-country singer and an Andy Griffith nut. The song is about the Andy Griffith Show, sung from the perspective of someone who watches Andy Griffith WAAAAAAAY too much. If you want to hear at least the first part of it, I’m pretty sure it’s on his website. Just google his name and you will find his website.

@ Jason, We used to have the first four seasons too. Now we just have the second and fourth only. :(
Have you watched the episode ‘Crime-Free Mayberry’? I think it is on the 2nd season. I really like that episode!! My favorite parts are when Barney makes up ‘balleds’ about he and Andy. The last one is especially hilarious! You have to watch it to really be able to laugh at it because of the way they sing it. I wish I could post it but it would ruin it for you. The melody is to ‘Clementine’. If you don’t have it, I bet it is on the Internet. The entire episode it funny but that song… It just CAN’T be beat.
I wonder if there is a producer or someone in the crew of AIO who especially likes Andy Griffith and that’s why Whit a fan?! What do you think?

  • Macgyver on October 5th, 2011 - 9:25am

I really, really, really, hope that sometime in the near future they bring back Richard Maxwell! I mean, the last time any one’s heard from the guy, he was in the hospital! What happened to him after that? Did he go back to Chicago? And if he comes back, they need to do an episode where he gets saved, and then… (sorry to all who think Mitch should do to this) maybe marry Connie. Well, I can hope, can’t I?
    Over and out, MacGyver

P.s. I was Jamie, but someone else was too So now I’m not. :)

  • AREM on October 6th, 2011 - 2:32pm

    @ Anonymous
It doesn’t matter how old you are it’s good to become a christian at a young age I’m 14 and I became a christian when I was about 6. God can do amazing things take for example last year around this time my dad lost his job, but we had many friends and reletives that we hadn’t talked to in a long time sending us money because they felt God was telling them to. We were able to survive with that money until we got a job. GOD IS AMAZING!!!!!

  • ftu on October 6th, 2011 - 6:45pm

@ MacGyver: So totally agree with you! Love Richard Maxwell! ;)
@ Aunanouis 11: I’m a girl. And as for my age, let me put through algebraic torture like I’ve done with everyone else on here! Lol, it’s not that bad. 12+2x-18=18x-166 Solve this and you’ve got it. NOTE: You must put X into the equation to get the answer. :)

  • ftu on October 10th, 2011 - 2:23pm

@ Aunanouis: You’ve got x correct. Now you have to stick x into the equation. That is, exchange x for 10 and do the problem over again. That’s the way it works in algebra. No, I’m not only 10! And I do know algebra. A little, anyway. Just enough to solve equations and things of that sort. ;)

@FTU – sorry, but if you’d told my that x WASN’t actually your age, but that your age is given by one side of the equation, I wouldn’t have made that mistake.

@Sheyenne: Stormy says you were born the day before Thanksgiving. What date was that? I was born the day after Thanksgiving? (And you don’t have to worry, I don’t give out personal info!)

  • Arwen on October 11th, 2011 - 7:25pm

Ok… so I had this crazy idea that Jason should have married Tasha at one point before album 53. And then they had a kid (a GIRL), Alicia. And so when Jason and Tasha go after Groat, they keep in touch with Alicia who is with Whit. So later on, Jason and Tasha disappear (we still follow their side of the story) and Alicia and Whit go after them.

Just an idea… :D Enjoy and Give me FEEDBACK!!!

    Thanks

@ Jason (my “alter ego” :) )-the reason my comment name is Jason is because that is my name in real life. And the thing I was saying was weird was the fact that you were posting comments and it was acting as if I had posted them. I was not calling you weird. And by the way, I like LEGOs too. They are AWESOME!!!

@RJOY: Yeah I’ve seen that one. And I love that song. If you named an episode in the first four seasons, I could probably quote half of it (that’s how much I watch it!)

Yeah. Aren’t they soooooo cool. Especially star wars the clone wars.

  • Ernest T. on October 14th, 2011 - 7:07pm

@ FTU: I agree with Jeremiah about being confused about whether or not x was your age. Normally x represents the unknown number (like your age) and you only substitute it back into the equation to check it. At least that’s the way I was taught.

  • Ernest T. on October 14th, 2011 - 7:14pm

@ Jason (a.k.a. my “alter ego” :) )-the reason my comment name is Jason is because that’s my name in real life. The thing I said was weird was the fact that you were posting comments and it was acting as if I had posted them. I was not calling you or anyone else weird. And by the was, I like LEGOs too. they are AWESOME!!!!

  • Jeremiah on October 15th, 2011 - 8:41pm

@Anonymous (the one who said he’s not a Christian) Remember, the life of a Christian isn’t supposed to be easy. If it was, you’d think the whole world would be Christian by now. Just look at the Apostle Paul. He got stoned (literally, with rocks) like twice, thrown into a pot of hot oil, shipwrecked, and worse, and he said it was all for the cause of Christ. Not once did we see him regret it or complain. Don’t let your friends’ feelings stop you from trusting in Christ. More on my next post…

  • Jeremiah on October 15th, 2011 - 8:45pm

Remember, there’s a day coming when we’ll all face Him-alone. Your friends won’t be there, your family isn’t going to be there. It’ll just be you and Him. When that day comes, it won’t matter what your friends thought about you becoming a Christian. For all of us Christians, there’s only one opinion that really matters-God’s. After all, God, not your friends, makes the final decision. If they hate you, so what. God loves you, and His son still died for you, whether your friends like it or not.

This show isn’t Adventures in Odyssey anymore. When the first Whit died, the producers of the show tried for two years to find another actor that sounded like him,and they did! When this new Whit was introduced a couple of albums ago, AIO wasn’t AIO anymore. I’m not complaining about the stories, the new kids, parents or the ideas. Keep them, but start a new show.Connie and Eugene can’t keep AIO afloat alone. Please let Odyssey die, it’s a new generation now. I’ve had 17 years of AIO,thanks.

Like Buck and Emily, I spent most of the time cringing when I listened to them interact! He laid on the charm like it was bread-in-butter. @ Elwyn, The goings are going good! I’m really excited about today’s episode, ‘Blind Justice’! I’ve always listened to AIO with my sister. But this episode sounds like it could be funny (and serious)so I can hardly wait till she is ready. I have 6 brothers and sisters. I’m the 4th, btw. I’m almost as tall as my eldest sister, who is 18. The last time I measured myself I was like 5 feet 3 inches. I think I’m 5’4 or 5’5 now. I think I’m 1-3 inches smaller then her. I’m tall for my age (or so I‘ve heard). Some people think I’m 13 or 14.
Most of the time I like school. Other times I look at it and it gives me a headache. My favorite subjects are History and Bible. I use SOS (Switched on Schoolhouse). What curriculum do you use?
My favorite characters are Whit, Connie, Eugene, and Jason. Those characters are ones I can depend on to be in Adventures in Odyssey forever. My favorites of the newer characters are: Priscilla, Monty, Barret, Matthew, Penny, Olivia, and Detective Polehaus. I’ve never heard Odyssey Sings. What is it about?
Rebekah is my first name and Joy is my middle name. RJoy is one of my nicknames. So I use it as my posting name. But I’ve come up with a full alias: Elsie Dagger. What do you think? Your real name is Valerie, right? I like V names. I have a friend named Violet and a cousin named Victoria and another cousin who’s middle name is Vezina.

    @FTU: Thanks!

@Elysibeth: You should’ve tried “littlesmuch”. Not great grammar, I know, but…hey, who cares on here, right? And you did Eldest in one day? Heh-I’ve done half of that and Eragon in the same day – then Brisinger the next. Although I’ve never read LOTR all the way through. I listened to all of FOTR on CD and part of TT and read half of ROTK. Hm…I guess I just need to let it boil in my brain for a while. BTW, you might share your plot with me. Maybe I can help a little with the..

  • Jeremiah on November 11th, 2011 - 11:24pm

@Elysibeth: (again) For me, I don’t have to worry about getting fed up with my family listening to weird or annoying artists – most-no, make that all-of the time, I’m the one doing the feeding up! I like listening to more classical artists, though, like Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban (very rarely), Jackie Evancho (ever hear her?), and the King’s Singers. I just went to see them 2 weeks ago, and they were totally awesome! Does anyone else here like the King’s Singers? (if you don’t know…..

Okay, how in the world is everyone posting such long comments? FTU’s method didn’t work, so how did you do it, Rjoy and Elysibeth?

Oh, boy. 557 comments? Maybe we should carry our discussions from here forward to the latest podcast.

@Elysibeth: You really should listen to her – look for “O Holy Night”. Another really talented singer is Rhema Marvanne. Oh, BTW(grrr!) I found out how we can correspond more quickly! If anyone wants to know how I do it, just ask and I’ll tell ya!

  • elysibeth on November 15th, 2011 - 9:15am

    Jeremiah-

First off, you scared me half to death! Do you know how disconcerting it is to go and look to see if your posts have been moderated and find that someone else is using your chat name? Very scary!!
Second, although I agree that it would be nice to be able to chat more quickly, the Odyssey people created the moderation process for a reason. Suppose someone used this way of “quick chatting” and said something inappropriate to whomever they were chatting with? It defeats the purpose of the moderation because, by the time the moderator sees the comment, it could be already seen by the recipient. So even though it’s very handy to chat quickly, I must ask that we keep to the AIO guidelines and precautions, because there are bad things out there that we want to protect younger listeners (and older ones too!) from. I think that the Odyssey moderators will agree with me.
I’m sorry if I offend you, Jeremiah, or anyone else, but this is what I believe is right.

Oh, and Jeremiah, I did my long posts exactly like FTU told me to. Are you using Word or Notebook? I sometimes have a hard time getting Notebook to work, so I use Word a lot. And if you want to do smiley faces on Word, it really goofs them up. Drives me crazy.

Has anyone seen The Prince of Egypt? Or Joseph King of Dreams? Those are like my favorite movies because of how epic the music is. I am learning how to play When You Believe from the Prince of Egypt. It’s really pretty. My older brother wants to learn More than You Take from Joseph King of Dreams. We both have been playing piano since we were seven or eight. That makes thirteen years for him and eight for me. Yikes!!

@Elysibeth: Nothing I did goes against any of Odyssey’s guidelines. Don’t worry about it! And by the way (boy, I really need a better phrase, don’t I?), why didn’t you tell me you played the piano? I’ve only asked if anyone else played like, oh, I don’t know, a thousand times! OK, maybe not quite that many. But I’ve been playing since I was 12…ish…or maybe it was 13…anyway, I love it! And yes, I can play the Entertainer. I also like Fur Elise and Moonlight Sonata…I’m playing for a musical potluck this Wednesday (my birthday! Oh, and Sheyenne, I’m going to be 8 years older than you)…maybe I can post a video somewhere and you guys can watch it. And for anyone who cares, no, I do not, nor will I ever, have a Facebook, Myspace, Twitter or any other social networking account. So anyway, Elysibeth, yeah, I’d love to see your story. And again, don’t worry, I’m not doing anything against any policy anywhere. All I meant was that I found a way to be able to see what people posted more quickly and thus be able to respond more quickly, that’s all! No, I would never hurt or try to deliberately offend anyone, especially not anyone your age.

    Yeah! Good job, Jeremiah!!

I completely understand. I actually should have thought about it longer before shooting off my post denouncing what you were doing before I even knew what you were doing. :) Sorry!
I thought I told you about my playing the piano! I love Scott Joplin. Did you know he was illiterate? His wife had to write his music for him. Isn’t that amazing? George M. Cohan is awesome too. Have you seen the movie Yankee Doodle Dandy? It’s all about his life. And I’m learning Dmitri Shostakovich’s the Mechanical Doll. It’s kinda strange (as Shostakovich always is) but really pretty. I also took guitar for a year (because my brother showed me up by learning the violen) but I ended up quitting. Piano is much more interesting to me(sorry to all you guitar lovers). Do you enjoy calculus? I am finishing up my Algebra 1 (oh joy for me) and learned about functions and slopes today. Lovely for this slow math learner. I would much rather write a six paged essay. Oh, I spoke too soon. I like the binary system. That’s fun.

    H-

Normally my favorite book in the Bible is the one that I am currently memorizing, so that would be Hebrews and 2nd Peter. I also enjoy James. And Colossians. I memorized that a looooooong time ago in a galaxy far far away (actually just 4 years ago) but I still remember random parts of it.

Well, that’s what all my evolutionist science teachers want me to believe. And no, I do not enjoy Calculus very much, except for the concept of differentiation, which just a quick way of finding a slope. I loved Algebra 1, though! That was one of my favorite math classes! • Elysibeth on November 21st, 2011 - 10:08am

This is why I love Life of Fred:

If you’ve ever read the Gormenghast Trilogy, you know that is contains lots of words that are new to you. In fact, by one count there are 5 new words per chapter. There are only 3 new words per chapter in the Lord of the Rings. When it comes to “fun events” they each have 4 per chapter. But it takes more effort to read the Gormenghast Trilogy. It takes nine drops of sweat to read a chapter of the G.T. and only six drops of sweat to read a chapter of LOTR. How many chapters of each should you read if you want to encounter at least 160 new words and 160 fun events with the least amount of sweat?

Fred is awesome. :) He makes math bearable in my mind. Now if I could just get through Algebra 1.
Yay!!!! I am happy because my brother’s home for Thanksgiving break. Now if I can just get him to help with the dishes… :)
My friend Aidan (yes, FTU the one with the Bieber hair) broke his arm on Saturday!! That’s what you get for driving a four wheeler into a tree. :)

    Jeremiah–

I completely understand about the evolutionist teachers. When I was younger, my homeschool co-op took a geology class at a college. The teacher was shoving the evolution down our throats! And he knew that we were a Christian organization!

    Elysibeth the NinjaGirl

  • Jeremiah on November 21st, 2011 - 2:52pm

@ Elysibeth: Ouch! How’d he manage that? And your brother seriously looks like Mr. Darcy? That’s weird. Oh, and your friend with Bieber hair just reminded me of a complaint my brother always has when we take a picture of him – he thinks he’s got Bieber lips! Oh, and Happy Birthday, Sheyenne! Which day is your birthday this week? Mine’s in two days.

Back at Elysibeth: (sorry, I take too many rabbit trails weird, huh?) How did you get a number for the drops of sweat? That in itself seems like it would take a lot of sweat. By the way (wow, could somebody help me, please! I really, REALLY need a new phrase besides by the way), you’d want to read 20 chapters of LOTR and 20 of GT. That would get you 160 new words and 160 fun events with only 300 drops of sweat! Boy, that’s a lot of sweat, isn’t it?

On a new note, who’s ready for Thanksgiving break? I definitely am!

@FTU: That was an acronym, not a word…anyway, I don’t know what I did, but when I tried it again it finally worked. It’s not like I tried anything different from the last 50 times I tried it. And yes, I am in college now, and being annoyed out the wazoo (does anyone else say that, or is it just me) by my evolutionist teachers! Revision: Okay, I just figured out what I did wrong! If you use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V (paste) it doesn’t work (I have no idea why), but if you right click in the box and select paste, it works! Presto!

I think that’s it for this post, so Ciao for now!

    Jeremiah-

There’s a story behind the Darcy thing. You see, we went shopping yesterday and bought him a coat. We also bought matching hats—if you look at Edmund in the Dawn Treader, he’s wearing a hat like the ones we got. So when he wears his hat and his coat, combined with his sideburns, he seriously looks like Darcy. If Darcy had red sideburns. :) (just so you know I don’t look like Darcy with my hat on . :) lol)
Yeah, Aidan has a knack for achieving the amazing. I don’t know which one he broke, but I know he’s going to have a lot of fun (sarcasm!!) since he’s a Bible Quizzer. Bible Quizzers have to jump a lot and in jumping, he will jostle his arm. Hmm. Maybe he’ll finger jump. That’s always amusing to watch. :)
Bieber lips? That’s…. interesting. I don’t pay that much attention to JB… in fact I don’t pay any attention to him at all. My friend Shea tells me that he actually enjoyed listening to one of jb’s songs(by accident!! He said he didn’t know who sang it. I don’t know which song it was. I hope it wasn’t Baby…. :) )
Hmmmmmm…… what could you say to replace btw? I once wrote a letter where I used the word awesome a million times… without spelling it right once. :) This is the kid who her mom asks for spelling help. Pathetic!

Yeah, my brother is five years older than me, which bugs me sometimes because he forgets that (according to my mother) I am old for my age– for example, I got mistaken for my young cousins mom at age thirteen. That was humorous. So I have a tendency to hang out with people who are older than me which drives him crazy. But we still love each other. When we’re not arguing. :)

The height discrepancies alone would…oh, I don’t know…completely destroy your perception of size, not to mention your self confidence! By the way (grr…OK, FTU, help me here!), what algebra problem did you post? I don’t remember seeing that one! And Happy Thanksgiving? What happened to my birthday? No, I’m only joking. Oh, I just found this out, Elysibeth. Regollin changed his name (posting name, not real name!) on the “Clanging Cymbals” comment board. I would never have noticed it except I was looking to see if I had ever posted something on that board, but he does say “I used to be Seth but changed my name”. I don’t know if Shmeebo changed her name too, but I haven’t heard anything from her in while. Where are you, Shmeebo??? (that sounds really humorous, doesn’t it?)

My brother’s four years older than me, but we get along okay since he’s pretty laid-back and uncaring. I mean, he doesn’t mind that much! Not that he doesn’t care! ;) We used to argue a lot, but it’s not so bad now. :)

It doesn’t help that my youngest brother(age nine) can wear my shoes and is less than a foot shorter than me. The algebra problem I posted was the one about the Lord of the Rings. At least, I assumed it was an algebra problem. I haven’t gotten there yet. :) Just a few more weeks! And I wished you happy birthday on the Katie Leigh podcast. And you’re not an old man. Sorry, Elysibeth, I misspelled your name.

Get this guys– my mom made COOKIES for breakfast. Isn’t that awesome?? They’re exactly like muffins only cookies instead! Which is great for this muffin hater(it’s not my fault! My mom says she thinks I have a food allergy to wheat, because ever since I was little I’ve felt sick after eating bread.)

    Elwynois-

It’s okay. People misspell my name a lot. Even I flub up sometimes.
And I explained my long posting technic to Hannah on the Connie/Katie Leigh interview page. FTU came up with it, so she probably can explain it better than me… not that it’s hard to do it’s just…me. :) Explanations and I don’t mix well. :D

Thanks, FTU! Hey, I just had my birthday, and out of about 15 people who guessed my age, only 1 got it right…the rest said either 16 or 17, which is waaaaaaaaaaay off…

@Elysibeth: Really? What was she saying?

@Elwynois: It’s easy. Just type in whatever comment you want somewhere else – like in MS Word, or Notepad, just somewhere besides the comment box here – then copy it from there and paste it into the comment box. Don’t use ctrl+v, though. It won’t work. You have to right-click and sele

ct paste from the drop-down. That’s what was getting me the first few times I tried it. I could not, for the life of me, figure it out! But I finally got it! By the way (somebody, PLEEEEEAASE help me!), Happy Thanksgiving!

Hmm…that was weird. When I tried it there, it gave me the 404. I had to shorten to 500 characters to get it to post right. Any ideas, FTU?

  • ftu on November 29th, 2011 - 1:00pm

@ Elwynios: It’s easy. Sorta. You just type down whatever you wanna say on sticky notes or notepad or wordpad, and then copy and paste it into the comment box. You have to be careful though. Don’t change anything in the comment after you’ve posted it in the box, or it will do weird stuff. Any comments, Elysibeth and Jeremiah? :)

@FTU: Nope, you did it fabulously. One note though (okay, so maybe I did have something to say) If you do it on Word and you do the smiley faces, you have to backspace one right after you make them, otherwise they come up as ?s.

    I can’t post anything! Heeeeeeelllp!!!!!!!!!

  • Jeremiah on November 30th, 2011 - 10:03am

Okay, so 200 characters is good. Let’s try for three hundred. How about joke? What do you call a blind deer? (Ans.:) No Idear? (Get it, no-eye-deer?) Hahaha, hohoho, heehee…hee…h…uh….okay, so nobody else found that funny.

  • Jeremiah on November 30th, 2011 - 10:05am

There’s three hundred characters. Let’s try four hundred characters this time. How ’bout another joke? Or…was that last one too dumb for you guys? Well, try this one on for size. What do you call a dog with no legs? (hint: it’s a trick question!) Give up? Well, no matter what you call it, it won’t come!

  • Jeremiah on November 30th, 2011 - 10:07am

Oh, that was only three hundred characters again. Here’s four hundred, and yes, you guys are probably tired of my dumb jokes, but I’ve got one more for you. What do you call a blind deer with no legs. (hint: it’s not a trick question this time!) Give up again? Oh, come on. This one’s easy. Read on for the answer…

…Still no idear? (Get it? Oh, nevermind…it’s hopeless…I guess I’m just not meant to be a joke teller.)

  • Jeremiah on November 30th, 2011 - 10:11am

Okay, let’s try four hundred fifty characters now.

@Elysibeth: Don’t worry about your height. I’m barely at five-four. And you know my friend I was telling you about – the one with red hair? She’s two months older than me and she’s a legal midget! Seriously, she’s only 4′ 11″. Don’t tell her I’m talking about her like that – she’ll kill me (she’s part Irish, hence the red hair). And I forgot that you wished me a happy birthday. Okay, that’s 450!

  • Jeremiah on November 30th, 2011 - 10:14am

Alright, well, let’s go for the full 500.

@Elysibeth (again): Yeah, when I first met her, I was about three-and-a-half inches shorter than her. I’ve grown about six inches since then. That was back when we were 12. (Work your algebraic magic and see if you can figure out how much she’s grown since then.) Of course, I’m Fil-American (Philippino-American), so I should be naturally short – the only one I can’t figure out is how my (younger) brother managed to be about 4 inches taller than me!!!!

  • Jeremiah on November 30th, 2011 - 10:19am

Okay, now for a really long post. Sorry if it seems like I’m babbling. I am. I’m running out of things to talk about, but I’m really trying to figure out why I can’t post sometimes. Oh, I’ve got it! How about Lord of the Rings! Who can tell me how and when Aragorn died? How about where Sauron came from? What about who Shelob used to be before she became a giant spider? By the way, can anyone else do good Smeagol/Gollum impressions?

Alright, complete change of subject. Does anyone like skiing? Along those same lines, does anyone else think my mind is weird? Yeah, I have weird though processes.

  • Jeremiah on November 30th, 2011 - 10:23am

Uhhh…that’s supposed to say “thoughT processes.” Hooray, it finally worked! Now I can shut up…

    Jeremiah-

Glad to know that there’s another short person on here. Living with my tall dad and brother has been tough for me all these years… not to mention that the cousin who I am best friends with is exactly sixty days younger than me is over five inches older than me. Oh well. :)
I’m Irish too! And Cherokee. You can’t tell though, ‘cos my Irish side dominates. :) Cool that you’re Fil-American.
My sister has a pretty mean Gollum imitation. It’s pretty scary when the first thing she says when she gets out of bed is “My precious…” It’s pretty creepy. :)

  • Elysibeth on December 2nd, 2011 - 9:02am

Hey, Jeremiah, are you still looking for a new name? If so, I may have some ideas for you. They’re Japanese names in a book I have been reading. One is Ryo, which means cool, the other is Takumi, which means ocean and pioneer. My name from now on maybe Shinobu, which fits in with the ninja theme, because it means someone doing things in secret. I like it because it reminds me of what Jesus said about not praying for people to see but for God to hear alone.

  • Jeremiah on December 2nd, 2011 - 9:34am

@Elysibeth: You mean five inches TALLER? Sorry-I know caps is the same as yelling in type, but I can’t figure out how to do italics on this thing.

@FTU: Nope! Did you work out my math problem yet?

@Elysibeth(again): I can do Yoda and Jar-Jar Binx, too!

  • Jeremiah on December 2nd, 2011 - 9:36am

@FTU(again): I forgot to mention that there is only one person who guessed closer than you (actually, she was the only one to guess it right), and all of the other people that guessed actually know what I look like and how I act, so they could base their guesses on that! You can’t, though – wait, how did you get that close without ever having met me?

  • Elysibeth on December 2nd, 2011 - 1:05pm

    Jeremiah-
Yeah I meant taller. Silly me! And I think I’ve seen the King Singers’ version of that song. It is pretty funny. Mekana(my sis) is great at imitating accents, so from the moment she hears something, she copies it almost perfectly. The exceptions are probably a Texan accent and Irish(which is ironic because of our bloodlines). Her Mr. Skint is amazing.

  • ftu on December 2nd, 2011 - 1:24pm

@ Jeremiah: Man, you post a lot. Shouldn’t you be…studying or something? Lol! I don’t remember exactly when or where Aragorn died, but I do know that he didn’t die from old age, but “gave up the ghost,” so to speak. Sauron was a Maiar from Valinor who sided with Morgoth when he first rebelled, and Shelob is a descendant of Ungoliant(who, by the way, ate herself when she ran out of people to eat.)
And to anyone who’s listening, yes, you must do whatever Jeremiah didn’t do when you go to paste comments in the box. :)

But then again, that was only because I was trying to solve a problem. Speaking of which, did you figure out my math problem yet? And yes, your LOTR knowledge is very good…

Wow, it didn’t work again. Let me see if I can remember what I was saying…Oh, yeah: “and for about a day after I listen to the guy do his Irish accent (Artemis and his butler, Butler [that's his name - the butler's name is Butler] are Irish) I can do it. Any other time I try it just sounds Scottish. And by the way (oh, I give up!), it’s funny you should come up with Japanese names for me – you know, I was born in Japan – no, seriously, I was born in Japan. Yokota AB, day after Thanksgiving – my mom though I was just a bad piece of pumpkin pie!

  • Elysibeth on December 4th, 2011 - 1:49pm

    Jeremiah-

I haven’t read the Artemis Fowl series, although I’ve heard of them. My BFF is trying to get me to read the Percy Jackson series(it took her forever to get me to read the Inheritance books) but I’m not really interested in mythology.
My brother Jesh can do an amazing Scottish accent(he got it from playing Age of Empires on the computer  ) but my brother Michael can’t even do a British accent. Must be because he can’t roll his r’s.
I know two kids who are from Japan! They were adopted by a family that goes to my church. I also know two Taiwanese kids. One is so hyper, and other is so sweet. He’s special needs, but he’s such a great kid even though he can be occasionally difficult. :)
Can anyone tell me if this is weird? We have mascots for our cars (not my idea!!) and the newest one is a little stuffed owl named either Pedro or Rodreguiz (urgh!! Cannot spell!). My friend Adam came up with those names. Of course, he was the one who was singing “Never shake a baby, baby, baby, OH!!” yesterday. You gotta love inspirational billboards. :)
FTU- Wow. You know a lot of LOTR trivia. I don’t know if I could know all that stuff and this is coming from the girl who has memorized almost ten books of the Bible. I am impressed. :)

    Shinobu

  • Jeremiah on December 8th, 2011 - 11:00am

@Elysibeth – er – I meant Shinobu – boy, this is gonna take some getting used to….Yes, I have heard of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but I don’t listen to ‘em much. I’m not much for contemporary music. I don’t like the heavy beats that much and (all right, everyone, call me dumb and behind the times) electric guitars give me a headache.

BTW (alright, now I really give up!) – oh, hey, is it politically correct to say “all right” or “alright”? – Has anyone heard of “The Forgotten Carols”? It’s a Christmas play – er, production…thingy, and it’s written by a Utahn and known worldwide! Anyway, I went to go see it last Friday! It was amazing! If any of you ever get the chance to go see it, do! You will greatly enjoy it!

  • Shinobu on December 8th, 2011 - 11:44am

    Jeremiah-

Yeah, I understand what you mean about the contemporary music. I like heavy metal music, but usually only when I’m mad or need to express myself or I need to get rid of a headache (call it crazy but rock soothes my headaches away.) But I love listening to instrumental hymns and quiet music when I’m feeling normal(which is a rare state for me :) ) I haven’t seen “the Forgotten Carols” but it sounds neat. My family usually goes to see a production (or play) of the Christmas Carol. It’s amazing. I love all the music.
I usually say all right, but I know people who do both… in the same email or letter. Drives me crazy. :)

Shinobu( Half the time I try to sign my posts as Elysibeth :) ) who is the only girl in the world (okay, maybe just Missouri) who knows a guy who will show up to a social organization wearing mismatched shoes. Jonathan, what am I going to do with you?

Uh…I think you meant to say “speEd read”, Elys…er, Shinobu. So how about it? Have you ever read Artemis Fowl? Oh, and you’re from Missourah too? I know Sheyenne was…sorry about the spelling. I’ve got a friend from there and she insists it’s pronounced Missourah, not Missouri. By the way, you don’t know any Warrens there, do you? I don’t remember what city they’re from, but they’ve got relatives all over the state…

  • jEREMIAH on December 9th, 2011 - 12:24pm

One more thing: E-Shinobu: What do you like about my name? That it’s got a “J” in it?

  • Jeremiah on December 9th, 2011 - 12:37pm

@FTU: Yeah. You said – and I quote – you said: And to anyone who’s listening, yes, you must do whatever Jeremiah didn’t do when you go to paste comments in the box.” Did you give up on my age yet?

  • Shinobu on December 9th, 2011 - 12:40pm

    Jeremiah:

No I have not read Artemis Fowl, but I have several friends who have. It sounds interesting though. :) And I thought it might be speed, but then I realized that I would have to say “speed readed through the comments” and that didn’t sound right.
Nope, I don’t know any Warrens. I’m trying to think if I know anyone in Utah(isn’t that where you’re from? Or is it Idaho? I get those two mixed up. :) ) And I come from a long line of hicks, who say Missourah and akern and warsh. My uncle actually tries to spell wash with a ‘r’ in it.
And I like the name Jeremiah 1) because it’s the name of my favorite book of the Bible (chapter 19 is my favorite… ‘I am going to bring a disaster on this place that will make the ears of all who hears of it tingle…’ idk why I like it , I just do.) 2) because it DOES have a J in it, and last but not least, 3) because I like long names(having one myself. :) )

Shinobu the Ninja? Hmmm, I like that. :)

  • Shinobu on December 9th, 2011 - 1:45pm

Okay NOW I get it. :)

Jeremiah: when I said “I like your name”, I was talking to Elizabeth M. The “Jeremiah!!” part was because I used BTW and I don’t normally say that, so I was blaming you for infecting me. :) But I had said earlier that I liked your name, so I didn’t get it instantly. I thought you were referring to that earlier post. NOW I understand. :)

Elizabeth M: I like your name.

@ Elwynois, I am so sorry! Time is flying away from me. I have a feeling that there is a big black hole that is slowly sucking away time. A minute a day, probably. I believe that it can’t be possible that we have 24/7 hours. It seems like its ONLY 24 hours. Yes, there MUST be least 7 minutes missing. (The /7 means minutes, right?)

Anyway, What does CLE stand for? I have never heard of it. How does it work? I used to use ACE but now I use SOS. Have you heard of those?

CAN Bart Rathbone sing?! I am trying to picture it but it is absolutely impossible! Odyssey Sings sounds hilarious! Which album is it on? Hmm…I don’t know what’s my favorite episode. There is SO many great ones. I like the series GRC and Novacom.

BTW, I saw that you were wondering how to make big comments. I have a program on my laptop called Works Word Processor. I write my posts on that then I paste it on the comment box. I’ve heard that that method also works on sticky notes, etc.

@Shinobu: The problem with having a long name is that I always type it wrong because I do it too fast – it always comes out as “Jermeiah” instead of “Jeremiah”. And yeah, I’m from Utah (help, I’m stuck in Mormon country!) B-no, I’m not going to say it – in case you’re wondering, I’m sick right now – flu, or some such. Anyways, I’m going home and to bed now. Oh, and you should read the Artemis Fowl series – I think you’d love it!

  • Shinobu on December 12th, 2011 - 3:45pm

    Jeremiah-

Yeah, long names can be a hassle. But I refuse to be called Liz or Lis. That’s too short for me. Hmm. Maybe I’m just picky. :) My bff says that my name should be Bossy Bessie(she came up with it, not me!) because she says I’m bossy. Hey, it’s not my fault I had to physically take her eighth soda away from her. Even though she says caffeine has no effect on her, I don’t believe it. :) When I posted as Elysibeth, I always left out the ‘i’. No idea why. :) Oh, and my brother Michael has people misspell his name all the time. They spell it “Micheal.”
Aww, I know how you feel. Today’s my last day being under quarantine! No joke! My sister had some sort of stomach bug last week and so we were all exposed to it. I’m hoping that I don’t get sick…I’ve only thrown up twice in my whole life and I don’t want that to change. Last year I was sick over Christmas. That is NO fun. But hey! I got to see the Voyage of the Dawn Treader in theaters, so there was a bright side to my illness.

@Shinobu: Dutch blitz! You play dutch blitz? I absolutely love that game! Hmm…if we ever meet someday we’ll have to have a duel. Was VODT any good? I saw the preview and I thought it looked kind of dumb. But maybe that’s just me.

How’d your skit go? I had to play a nerd once in a play called “Rebel Factory”. If you’ve never heard of it you should Google it.

And no, I’ve never read the Leviathan series. Never even heard of it. I have read a book called “Leviathan” by a guy name James Byron Huggins. I do believe after reading that that he is a Christian, but I have to say – that was the most creepiest book I’ve ever read! You should read it sometime. (I didn’t just say most and creepiest in the same phrase did I? Ah, well; so much for grammatical correctness.)

Sheyenne, what do you think everyone calls me? If you knew you’d think “Turkey” was being nice!

Oh, and Elys…er, Shib…Shinbou…Sibhuno…Shiboun…Graow! Shinobu! Even my typer’s lysdexic now! Shinobu, Paul was from the greater Europe/Asia Minor area – that’s north…I think that is just you.

@Rjoy: Haven’t you ever heard…oh, what was that episode called? You know, the one where they were having a contest and the finalists would get to perform on a TV show, and Bart kept entering with songs about the Electric Palace? Yeah, so he ain’t very good (okay, he just ain’t good), but he still sang it! Oh, and in a black hole time is supposed to stop, not go faster. That’s what my evolutionist science teachers think, anyway. Not that any of them have ever actually been to a black hole to test that theory. Oh, and the “long comment method” (isn’t that what we’re calling it now?) works as long as you type your comment anywhere besides the comment box. You could type it into the address bar on you browser if you wanted to. Just make sure you righ-click and click paste, don’t use the keyboard shortcut (ctrl+v)..

Well…..I will post Bart Rathbone’s song and you can see what you think of it:

Discount prices all day long-OH! Dah-du-dah-day!!
I can’t remember much else of it, but you get the idea :)

    Jeremiah-

Yes I LOVE Dutch Blitz!! At our new years celebrations we have tournaments with like six tables…it’s pretty awesome. :) VODT was…okay is an understatement, but from what I’ve heard, Prince Caspian wasn’t that great either with keeping to the storyline(I haven’t seen it yet). If they’d kept to the book, it would have been better. The real highlight of the movie was Eustace. He was hilarious. There were so many subthemes that I got lost easily: Lucy trying to fit with growing up, Edmund trying to be a man(Skandar Keynes still looks like he’s fifteen—not convincing), and the green mists…oooh I am so scared. At least they tried. The only reason I watch it is to laugh at how pathetic it is…in my head. My sister is a die-hard Narnia fan(so am I—when I was little me and my bff tried to put on a play of VODT. I was both Caspian and Edmund and she was Eustace and Drinnian at the same time. It didn’t turn out very well. :) But at least I’m not so in love with it that I just like it cos it’s Narnia.) I miss the battle sequences too.
My skit? Um…let’s just say that my head hurt for about six hours afterwards. And no, it was not because of the chair I had to balance on my head. :)
Oooh, I wish the guy who wrote the Leviathan series was a Christian. That would make the books even better(I think, I have yet to read them. I’ll have to trust my brothers judgement for now. :) ) Creepy books? Hmm, I like them as long as I’m reading them in the day. Night time on the other hand… :) Probably the creepiest book I’ve read…these ain’t too bad now, but when I was younger Madeleine L’Engle’s Swiftly Turning Planet and whatever is the name of the book that came before it were the “scariest” books I’d ever read.

And in case you’re wondering, I am past my writers block( did you know it’s super hard to write from an adults perspective when you’re only fifteen? Now that I’ve switched main characters everything is running smoothly) and am on Chapter 4. Maybe I’ll put a synopsis of it on here…

  • Jeremiah on December 15th, 2011 - 11:57am

@Shinobu: Too late! The odds are exactly 666 to 1. You should’ve been able to figure that one out. And again, I ask the question: why the chair on you head?

About Leviathan: yeah, my music/math/science/whatever else teacher (oh, and piano – yeah, she teaches a LOT of stuff) told me about it. She said the first time she read it – and this is how good the book is – she stayed up ’til like 2 in the morning reading, then when she got done she had to go to the bathroom. While she was there a towel slipped off the rack behind her and hit the ground, and she about had a heart attack. Yeah, that’s how scary the book is.

And just so you know, I was just kidding about the 666 thing. It’s not really bad – I mean, it’s just a number, right?

Boy, the most players I’ve ever had at one time was……ummm……we had three decks…uhhh…four people per deck, right?…let’s see…what’s that…erm…yeah, 11 people, right? No…twelve. I knew that! Duh! I’m dumber than dumb. Sometimes, even though I can do advanced mathematics, trigonometry, geometry, and even calculus in my head, I get lost with the simplest calculations. That rarely happens, though. I mean like, Titanic rare.

You haven’t watched PC yet, well, let me give you some advice for when you do finally decide to watch it – don’t. I thought it was the worst movie ever!!! Not just ’cause they didn’t stick to the book, either. They totally murdered the plot, and besides, Caspian is supposed to be about your age (actually I think he’s a bit younger) but the actor the used for him is TWENTY-SIX! Twenty-six, can you believe it?

I think the books you’re looking for are “Wrinkle in Time” and um……what was the other one? Oh, I remember the plot perfectly and….augh! I don’t remember the title. Wait! Haha! I’ve got it! ……Goooooooogllllle……yeah, that was it, “A Wind in the Door”. So tell me, why did you think they were so creepy?

Okay, I’ve really got to stop posting so much. I’m getting writer’s cramp – yeah, from my keyboard!

Oh, one more thing – and then I promise I’ll shut my clapper! There was another thing I hated about Prince Caspian (the movie, not the book – I love the book). Some of you probably liked this, but not me. They made Susan and Caspian romantically attracted! Yuck! Tell me where they got that from? It’s definitely not in the book! In fact, Caspian was so totally in awe at meeting the four kings and queens that there was not even a slim chance for him to have any romantic thoughts AT ALL! Okay, I really need to stop now – I’m out of char

  • Jeremiah on December 15th, 2011 - 12:58pm

    Jeremiah-

Yeah, I knew what the odds were(super easy after I thought about it) but it was fun to say. :)
And of course it’s just a number…a number with a meaning to most Christians. But it’s not evil. It’s just the thing that has the number that is evil(although my friends joke about a really bad high school around here having a class room numbered 666.) My brother’s taking discrete math(math that’s discreet? This I gotta see) and yet he sometimes blanks out on the simplest problems. :) Must be brainiac syndrome. Jk.
I only intend to watch PC to make fun of it(just like I do with VODT and I’m going to with Eragon). Plus, Ben Barnes has brown hair and Caspian supposed to be blond. And yeah, one of the reasons my dad won’t let me and my siblings what it is because of what they did to Susan and Caspian. That just makes me sick, that they would ruin a good book to movie video by throwing something like that in as well. Urgh!!!
Hey you cheated(I actually just went downstairs and looked at the shelf :) ). Yup, that was the title. I dunno what was so scary about them, maybe it was the Ethcroi or whatever their names were. The cherubim Xing himself made me cry—and I rarely cry over books. Except when Gandalf died. I cried then. :) I love a Wrinkle in Time. That one never scared me. It was awesome, and although I don’t read it much anymore, it’s still a favorite(but it will never be better than After the Dancing Days!!! That is an amazing post-WWI book.) Writer’s cramp from your keyboard? That’s impressive.
We went to Wal-Mart to look for fun gifts for our white elephant gifts and while in the seasonal aisle, I found this huge, almost two feet long and a foot wide Rice Crispy Bar. I don’t often have a gift that make the openers eyes pop wide open. This one will. :) Since my family is so big( for example, my aunt is having her twelfth baby. I have over thirty cousins on one side of the family. When we get together, it’s like a zoo.), we have to do white elephants instead of exchanging names or giving everyone a gift…boy that would be a lot of gifts. Ideas? Ummm, you could use my dad’s gift idea. He’s doing a silly tribute to Clint Eastwoods the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. He’s gonna get something yummy to eat(like…idk what. Mmmm, broccoli and rice would be good. :) ), something nasty to eat(like canned sourkraut or spinach) and then something ugly to eat( like fruit cake. Trust me, it’s ugly.)

And about the hick thing…I’m only a hick when I want to be. You should hear me be british, australian, and spanish. No hick then. :)

  • Jeremiah on December 15th, 2011 - 9:12pm

Okay, to anyone else reading this this is going to be one huge stream of conscience, but Shinobu will probably get it:

You just spelled a word two different ways in the same sentence – in the same line, even! Can you tell what it was and which is the correct way to spell it?

    How is that cheating?

I thought it was Ecthroi, but I haven’t read the book in so long I don’t even remember.

    But he didn’t die!!!!!!!!

Mmmmm…that sounds good. You like Chinese food?

You should hear…um, let me rephrase that. I can do pretty cool text-accents (that’s where I spell my words to imitate an accent. I’m pretty good at it, too!) Let’s see… ‘Ow’s abou oi troi an Ozzie eiccent? No, I knaow it ain’ puhfict, buh ‘ey, oi troi, doint oi?

I think my favorit is “da German” (pronounced, da jhermahn). Ya, I can do da jherman prritty goot.

  • Shinobu on December 16th, 2011 - 7:34am

    Jeremiah-

Actually, I spelled it right both times. Discrete(as in discrete math) and discreet(as in… I think discreet means shy or modest) are two different words! Hard to believe I know. Nice try. :)
Anything concerning Google is cheating. :) jk.
Yeah, that was was it, Ecthroi.
And I love Chinese food. My mom says that she thinks we have Asian ancestors, because according to her we eat nothing but rice. :) Of course, that’s not true. We eat…uh, what else do we eat? :)
Wow! That’s quite realistic…in a texty sort of way. :)

    FearTheUnknown 8-)

  • Jeremiah on December 18th, 2011 - 12:17am

Well, I knew that! I was just saying that it seemed like you were using the same word but spelling it two different ways…anyways. Yeah.

Why…er, how is that cheating? Why do you think I know so much about computers?

And about Chinese food. We have lots of Chinese restaurants around here, but there’s one that we love going to – it’s the only one that gives you free rice (as much as you want!) with your food. And about rice – yeah. If my dad doesn’t get rice at least once a day he sort of…well…goes crazy…ish. He can’t stand not having rice – let’s just put it that way. I think it’s because that’s what he was raised on, growing up in the Philippines.

Oh…when you were telling me about the two spellings of discrete (um, I meant “discreet” – no, I meant – oh, nevermind), were you saying that you know it’s hard to believe, or it’s hard to believe that you know that? Just askin’.

Here’s a cool accent – see if you can figure out what it is (supposed to be): “I vant to vish you uoll a vewhy mewhy Chwistmas – und a vewhy heappy nue yeahr!”

Or this one: “Aye, it’s tha’ tiem a’ yeearr again! That tiem when we all ge’ t’getherr and celebrrate the berth of ourr Laird and Sevyerr Jeesus Chriest! Aemen an’ Aemen!”

  • Jeremiah on December 18th, 2011 - 12:22am

Oh, I forgot – Eragon. Yeah. If you want my advice about what to do when you’re watching the movie, it’s this – don’t. If you read the book and liked it, don’t waste your time on the movie. The way they made it, there’s practically no way for them (or anyone else, for that matter) to make “Eldest” or “Brisingr”. On that note, though, have you read “Inheritance” yet? I haven’t – it’s $20 if I want to buy it (yeah right!) and each of the library’s like 12 copies has about 79 holds on it…yeah, I think I’ll be waiting just a little bit to find out what happens to Eragon, Saphira, Roran, Murtagh, Katrina, and the rest.

  • Shinobu on December 18th, 2011 - 8:18am

    Jeremiah-

Yeah, I’ve read Inheritance(I read it in less than twenty-four hours–my brother’s roommate was astounded). It’s pretty good, except for the ending. As my mom says, “I don’t like Eragon riding off into the sunset.” Once they kill Galbatorix, it’s kinda boring. But that’s just my opinion. I did like how they killed him though…but I’m not gonna say anymore cause that would ruin it for you. :)
Rice is awesome. That’s all I can say. We would eat it every day if we could(but since my mom doesn’t like it, we don’t :( )
Hmmmm, I’ll have to think long and hard about this. Is the last one Scottish or Irish?? The other one I am befuddled about.

@ Elwynois, Do you like to read?
SOS (Switched-on-Schoolhouse) is rather fun, in my opinion. I’m in the 800th level (which, I’ve heard, is 8th grade). I have five subjects: Bible, History & Geography, Language Arts, Science, and Mathematics. It is fairly simple. I click open my SOS application and go to my schoolwork. I open a lesson in one of the subjects, study it, then I answer the problems. At times, I am given a video. Those are terrific!! What grade or level are you in (or did I ask you that already?). I have six other brothers and sisters. 3 older and 3 younger than me. Crotcheter is one of your sisters, correct?
Which do you like better Novacom or GRC?

(more thoughts from the land of Randomosity!) Yeah, the last one is actually Scottish. I already told you I can’t do Irish, right? And I don’t remember what the others were. The first one was supposed to be Russian – yeah, I know. Not very good. I’m better at “funky accents” – ones that I make up to make it seem like I’m talking funny.

Oh, I forgot you couldn’t do the Irish–except after listening to Artemis Fowl for like a day, correct? :D
Man, I thought it might be Russian, but I wasn’t 100% sure. Rats. :)

  • Jeremiah on December 20th, 2011 - 11:50pm

@Shinubo: Yeah. Randomosity – that was actually an Artemis Fowl thing. If you ever get around to reading it, you’ll understand a little bit better. But it does seem like you’ve got the basic idea of it, anyway. Does he do that even if you’re at a restaurant? In public?

Oh, and I do believe you’re right. I’ve never been called a queen before, I didn’t even realize that I just called myself one. By the way (Randomosity alert!), I just realized that I misspelled your name (@Shinubo – should be @Shinobu), but I’m too lazy to go all the way back there and fix it, so I’ll just fix it here.

And yes, you are correct about the Artemis Fowl thing, too.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, who says you get to be amazing and stupendous? I have a friend that once knew a guy that said “who-a” instead of just “whoa”, and I think he fell of his horse once because the poor animal had no idea what he was saying! Wow……that…was, uhh…really – REALLY – random. But anyway, I thought I was the stupendous one! Just because you’re a ninja doesn’t mean you get to attach all these superlatives to your name! (Can you hear it yet? – whine, whine, whine…and all that)

  • Shinobu on December 21st, 2011 - 3:27pm

    Jeremiah-

Oh, I could hear the whining all the way over here. :) But that’s okay. My brother’s reading Artemis Fowl right now actually, so maybe he will let me read them once he’s done. Don’t count on it though. He’s kind of protective about his books(it’s a family trait :) ). I’m not always amazing and stupendous(sometimes I’m wimpy and sad), but at that moment I felt very stupendous-like(is that even a word?) because I got to watch Captain America–which, to my astonishment, was actually a really good movie. It’s weird, cause I like the storyline to Thor a lot more than the storyline for Captain America, but I like the superhero Captain America better than I like Thor. :) My favorite quote from that movie. “It’s okay, I can swim.”
I didn’t think watching a superhero movie with a bunch of girls and my brother would be too interesting. Actually, it was. :) Ever laughed so hard you were rolling on the floor? Well, I was almost there last night. :) It was fun.

    Stupendous-like can be a word – actually, it’s hyphenated, so you’re fine.

I didn’t like “Captain America” very much. I thought “Green Lantern” was better, but maybe that’s just me.

I will describe CLE more: Each subject has ten books that I am supposed to finish in the school year. In Language Arts, they have a theme for each book. Like, sentences that I have to diagram, are all about a certain thing, and my spelling words are all about a certain thing, etc. This book’s theme is Alaska. How cool is that! Okay, so I read Leviathan, by Scott Westerfeld over the weekend and I loved it so much that I bought the audiobooks for the next books. I listened to them in less than 48 hours-put together they are like 20 hours long. :) It was awesome, except the fact that the narrator did such an amazing job with the main characters’ Alek and Deryn’s voices(Alek is Austrian, Deryn is British) that for two days I was THINKING in an Austrian accent, and I had to be careful not to sound like a cockney British girl when I spoke. :) And now I have Popular, from the Broadway musical Wicked stuck in my head. “Did they have brains or knowledge? Don’t make me laugh! They were popular!” You all seriously have to listen to that song. And What Is This Feeling? “There’s been some confusion for you see my room mate is…” Glinda: Amazingly peculiar and altogether impossible to describe….” Elphie: “Blonde.” :) I love musicals.

AAAAAAAACK! Sorry, Shinobu……but don’t remind me! Pleeeeeeasseee! Nooooooooooooo! Now I’m gonna have that song stuck in my head all day and night! By the way, I forgot to mention to ya’ll that my baby brother’s back home from college now :D ! But :tears: he leaves on Wednesday! Boo Hoo! Is that Leviathan any good? If you want a good read, you should try the one of the same name by a guy named James Byron Huggins…or did I already tell you that?

  • RJOY on January 9th, 2012 - 7:13pm

@ Kawintree, Merry Christmas! And a Happy New Year!!
I like your name! Did you come up with it or FTU?
Anyway, I like L.M. Montgomery, too! The ‘Anne of Green Gables’ series are some of my favorite books!
I think I have found a kindred spirit! I’ve seen the two first movies also. Have you read any of the other books like ‘The Story Girl‘, ‘Chronicles of Avonlea‘, or the ‘Further Chronicles of Avonlea‘, etc? Which of her books is your favorite?
Have you heard of an author named George Alfred Henty? He wrote over a hundred books including: ‘With Clive in India‘, ‘In the Reign of Terror‘, ‘Beric the Briton‘, and ‘In Freedom‘s Cause‘. My personal favorite is ‘Beric the Briton: A Story of the Roman Invasion‘. I like to listen to the audio book of ‘Beric the Briton’ read by Jim Weiss. So far he is the best reader I’ve heard.
I also like Robert Michael Ballantyne’s ‘Coral Island‘. And I like the ‘What Katy Did’ series.
Yes, the GRC is so much fun and now I can’t wait till Album 55! Novacom is amazing! It is spread through Album 35 to Album 38 or so. I’ve never read a mystery or heard of a mystery so enthralling. I can’t describe it because it is sooo complicated. As Chris says, “You’ll have to keep listening!” or something like that. Actually, in this case, it would be, “You have to listen!” or something like that.
Anyway, It is VERY fun and exciting to have a large family! I love it! I thought Crotcheter was your sister! How sad about your little brother or sister! I almost lost some of my siblings but thank God, I didn’t.
CLE sounds interesting. Have you always been in CLE?
P.S. I think I should have a new posting name. Do you have any suggestions?

Whew! It’s been forever since I got on here! But here I am!

  • Elwynois on February 11th, 2012 - 6:22pm

    @ Rjoy
Hi! Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you as well! I decided to change my name back to Elwynois because Kawintree wasn’t workin for me. What should you change your name to? Well, How about Shelby? I’ve always liked that name, but it’s pretty unusual.
Have you read the Emily of New Moon series? That is by L.M. Montgomery too. I loove that series. I hav enever read the story Girl series or Chronicles of Avonlea, but they sure sound good.
Guess what? My dad just got back from

  • Elwynois on February 11th, 2012 - 6:28pm

Africa! He is planning to start and orphanage there. Our whole family went there for mission work for a year. I had fun, but I don’t want ot go back permanently, which I don’t think we will. I was nine when we went, and now that I’m a teenager, I want to stay where all my friends are.
I know you said you’re twelve, but when is your B-day?
Yes, I have done CLE since I started school. I sort of like it, sort of don’t, you know how it is.
DO you really like the new Odyssey albums? I think

  • Elwynois on February 11th, 2012 - 6:29pm

They are going down hill. I miss all the old characters.
Well, I need to go for now!
    Love,
    Valerie (Elwynois)

  • Elwynois on February 14th, 2012 - 4:52pm

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY, RJOY! YOU ARE MY ONLY FRIEND ON THE PODCAST, AND I SO LOVE COMMENTING BACK AND FORTH WITH YOU!

  • SARAH-GRACE on February 17th, 2012 - 1:27pm

i think it would be fun to make an episode where you actually meet Blackaard’s sister. it’d be funny if she came to odyssey and she was married before but her husband died so she has a different last name and she can date Mr. Wittaker! that would be really funny for him to discover. he wouldnt be mad, though but it’d be interesting to know his reation :)

  • Shelby on March 5th, 2012 - 5:55pm

Hey Elwynois! Happy Belated Valentine’s Day to you! And I love commenting to you too. A few days ago I saw your comment but was not able to reply. The next day, I saw a silver car that had the name ‘Shelby’ on it. How odd! By the way, I saw your comment on the Got Questions podcast. I’m not sure what you meant though. About the new albums, I’m not sure. Some of the episodes are good, I think. Others I didn’t like so well. So I’m not sure what to think. But I do miss the old characters. In the meantime, what do you think of GITS? Are you going to audition? What your family is doing in Africa sounds amazing! Where is the orphanage going to be in Africa? Yes, I’m 12. My birthday is April 22nd. What’s yours? As I’m writing the sun is going down. It is beautiful. Which do you like better dusk or dawn? I hope to be able to write soon…Bye

  • Shelby on March 5th, 2012 - 5:57pm

@ Jeremiah, Sorry! I didn’t see your comment till now. I’m RJoy now Shelby (maybe) No, I haven’t heard that episode before. I’ve never studied black holes before so I didn‘t mean a literal black hole. In fact, I’ve just heard the word (That‘s ‘word‘, right? I mean, if I put ‘words‘ it wouldn’t look or read right. Oh, I‘m so confused!) black hole. Now I have a question: How in the world can time get stuck in a black hole? And doesn’t Percy Jackson have something to do with the Greek ‘god’ Zeus? I have a pen pal who reads it.

i love it so much! i wish it would give part 2! ;]

  • Elwynois on March 14th, 2012 - 1:31pm

Shelby, Hi! Thanks for writing back. I am so excited about GITS!And yes,I am planning to enter, Thanks to my wonderful parents who gave me permission! What about the live show?R U going?Unfortuneately, I don’t think I will be able to, since we live a long way from Texas. What didn’t u understand about my question? Was it the one about guilt? All I was saying was, when you do something wrong, then ask God for forgivness, then keep on feeling guilty, how do you know who that guilt is from?

  • Elwynois on March 14th, 2012 - 1:38pm

Anyway, please do not feel obligated to use the name Shelby, just because I suggested it. If you don’t like it, don’t use it. But I do have some other suggestions too: Kelsey,Elyse, and Lauren. Those are all three names I like, but you might not like them. The orphanage is in Kenya, which is located in East Africa. Did I tell you that my family went there as missionaries? It was lots of fun.My birhtday is on July 14, and I am turning 14 on the 14th! Cool, huh? :) I think I like dusk best.10-4

    Shelbyjoy, ya still here?

Oh, sorry…Shelby/Rjoy. I never saw your last comment. In answer to your question…yeah. Percy Jackson and the rest of the series are based on the assumption that the Greek/Roman/Norse/Chinese gods do exist and still fight over the control of the world.
