  • Hannah on November 11th, 2011 - 12:07pm

    @ kismint
Okay here a little from my book…it is a ruff draft…so it still need smoothing out
A lady clothed in a pure white dress stood before me. Her statue was tall she looked like an elf but something was quite different. Light seemed to pour out of her and she seemed even fairer then the elves. Her compaction was perfect and clean. Any of the elves around her seemed almost muddy and dark…imagine Saule Blaker a dwarf standing next to one so fair. The lord introduced me to her, but she…

  • Hannah on November 11th, 2011 - 12:08pm

knew who I was…which stunned me . “Lurrina meet Jessamine she brings you strength and healing from afar.”
    “Greeting.” I said.
“Lurrina, you have a great name in where I come. One has seen your weariness and burden. He has favor for you and wants you to succeed in this hard time.” Her voice was fair and gentle and seemed perfect in tongue. It took me a little while before I answered. “Your ladyship from where do you come with your tidings and favor? Who is he who has favored me?”
    “You…

  • Hannah on November 11th, 2011 - 12:09pm

know. He has been waiting for you for long. You see he can only come when you have made the way.”
“My lady I know not of which you speak of or your riddles.”
“My you are slow. I am a messenger from the King.”
Saule broken in saying… “And what king is he? And what kind of lady messenger are you?” Instead of getting anger for talking to her with such tones she merely smiled and answered “The King! Saule you know, lord of all and maker of it, do not tell me you haven’t heard of him.”…

  • Hannah on November 11th, 2011 - 12:20pm

“Well ma’am I…I have, I just thought that he was a myth, ma’am.” One of the elfish council stood up in a rage and said… “Have you dwarfs no respect for a messenger of the King! Show some respect to her.” Jessamine turned to him and rebuked him.
“Corwin sit! If he hasn’t been taught than how can he know? Have we not called you to teach? Well teach him, teach Saule. For every race needs a teacher. But sometimes even an elf has had to teach a dwarf lesson or two. And Saule has a lot he could…

  • Hannah on November 11th, 2011 - 12:20pm

teach you. Stop acting like your superior to the Dwarfs! Maybe you are in knowledge from books but, he can teach you about the land and animals.”
As Corwin sat I heard him mummer “That’s because he is one.” She again turned to me
“,Lurrina will accompany me on to the gardens?”
“Yes, I would and will your lady.” We went out to a little bridge behind the waterfall streamed down throwing up a mist at us.
“Lurrina, Now you know from where I come. And who I am, now I reach the reason I have…

  • Hannah on November 11th, 2011 - 12:22pm

    come.”
“Please your ladyship, tell me what you want.”
“I do not want anything from you nor does the King, except you heart and kindness.”
“I am afraid that I cannot give my heart for you see I would be dead without it, but my kindness isn’t something to great to give.”
“Then be dead to yourself and your old ways of thought and fallow the life after that. Be like that filled with life. Dead to the old but living with hope and not dread of the end.”
“I am afraid dreading seems to be all I…

  • Hannah on November 11th, 2011 - 12:23pm

do. You know my quest. To sneak into in Dark ones house and slay him, but if I fail I shall have died in vein.”
“That is just it…Fear! But I bring hope for you and peace to all. You need not fear anything for it is he who cuts the life rope of every man, women, and child. If he cuts yours, then you’re proposes has been complete and your life was not in vein. I have a gift from him to you.” She reached in to a pouch and pulled out a necklace.
“It will help you on your journey, you know what…

  • Hannah on November 11th, 2011 - 12:24pm

    mit is?”
“Yes I do! It is an elfish necklace…but only true elves can wear these.”
“You are a true elf Lurrina, He wishes to bless you.”
“But I am a Halfling, and mixed race. I am forbidden by the elfish rule to wear such a thing.”“Is he not higher than those he made? This necklace will bless you with the full elfish power and skill. Now falls that would kill you cannot and learning and knowledge will become easy to you. It’s your Kiesh, your elfish necklace. Take it…it is free to you.”…

  • Hannah on November 11th, 2011 - 12:26pm

“This holds new life strength for me. A Kiesh necklace shouldn’t be free to a mixed race such as I. And I would have to die a thousand times even to begin to match its worth. Thank you.”
“Do not thank me. Thank him
Did you enjoy it? I had so much fun writing this…I really am begining to like the dwarf. Please write and tell me what you thought! There is a lot that I have to write! All the above preview should be in book two…or three. Don’t know guite yet. :)

@Birdwatcher: We got our first snow here in Utah not too long ago, too. But I’m not complaining though, because I LOVE SKIING! Oh, and BTW, she can do Thumper? Like from Bambi, Thumper? Das cew.

@Regollin: Yeah, that is pretty cool – but I miss Hal Smith, Paul Herlinger, and Walker Edmiston!

@Elysibeth: You guys are making a movie? That’s cool! Can I see it when you’re done? Pretty please (with a cherry on top)? There, I said please, so now you gotta!

    Jeremiah-

If I could, I would. :) We were going to try to do the whole green ring conspiracy, but then I realized that since the oldest people we have interested in doing it are me and my BBF (BEST BUD FOREVER) we would have to play all the older female and male characters. I do not look like a Buck. But she’s playing Polehaus anyway, which totally fits her personality. I was inspired by Act like Odyssey.
I usually say pretty please with sour cream on top. idk why. :)

Sheyenne: The Texas longhorns? Isn’t that the football team? Not that much into sports. My teams are the packers, the brewers, and the bucks. :) Exited for your B-day much? :D

Hannah: Your book preview reminds me of the scene were they have the meeting in rivendel about what to do with the ring in Lord of the ring, fellowship of the ring.

I love to write and review books, and I’m really impressed! I wish I could write like that! I have quite a few story lines and pages, but no endings, and my inspiration kind of dies after a while. I can tell your story is going to be wonderful though! Keep writing!

@ Whooten’s BFF: I’ve been thinking, and I just noticed that a lot of villians are “doctors” (Dr. Blackgaard for example). So then I looked up what the Greek word for “fear” is. By doing that I found out that the Latin word for “afraid” is “Timidus.” So then I thought of “Dr. Timidus.” The problem is, is that it doesn’t sound scary or evil. However, it would be funny if you had your charecters nick-name him Dr. Timmy or Dr. Tim… :D
I hope this inspires you! I’ll keep thinking!

Hey! Katie Leigh that is awsome! And Kismint, It is true that a lot of villians are doctors! One of the reasons is because they study difrent things and that is their proffesion! Like one doctor could study chemichles and still be a evil villian but put his knoledge to use!
    God Bless!

    @ Wooten Rocks:
I know exactly what ya mean! I’ve started SO many books, and I’ve been working hard on 3 of them. So far, they have a good start. One of them is being written by both me and my friend, and the other 2 is just scribbled down by me myself & and I.
I’ve decided that I’ll just go slow & steady with the writing, and not burn out all the inspiration in the begining. That’s the only advice I’ve got for the present, but I’m glad to know someone is in the same boat with me!

Are you twenty-one? If so, I was about right in my guessing because you reminded me of my brother who is twenty. And I read your post about your “best-est” friend who has the most awesome hair color in the world. Good for her! I know very few girls with red hair. And I use “maked” up words all the time. Jeremiah: You mean the time I drove my dirtbike off the cliff or the time I got a concussion.
Well with the dirtbike I was just at my house. When I got a concusion I was at a church. I go there for gym class sometimes. So, we were running laps and I was trying to get in front of my friend. Then BAM everything went black. I walked unconsciosly to the other side of the gym. Then I woke up in the bathroom spitting in the sink. I had ran into a metal cord. The kind that holds buildings up. cont..

I know what you mean about starting books and never finishing! I have done that so many times! But now I have prayed about it, and have made it a task to finish what I start! I am now writing a book and it is going good, and so far I have 5 chapters! Try praying and asking God to help you with you writing!

    Title: The Deep End

    * Expected download release: February 2012
    * Expected album release: May 2012

    Planning

    * In October 2011, the AIO team has recorded all of the episodes for this album.
    * This will be the first normal album after the “saga” in Album 53 and the “thematic” Album 54.
    * Marshal Younger, Nathan Hoobler and Kathy Buchanan have all written at least one episode for this album.

    Content

    * Album 55 will pick up some of the themes and characters from Album 53.
    * Album 55 may contain an Inspiration Station Adventure. If it doesn’t, Album 56 will.
    * This album will have one 3-part episode, one 4-part episode, one 2-part episodes and three one 1-part episodes.
o The 3 parter is called “The Labyrinth.” Refer to the first part of the summary above.
+ This episode will feature an Agent Billings.
+ An old character from Odyssey’s past will return in this episode. (Tasha? Richard Maxwell? I hope it’s Richard. He’s awesome. He jumps out of moving cars and tries to steal laptops.)
o The 4 parter is called “Sgt. York.” Refer to the second part of the summary above. (I cannot wait!)
+ This was originally a 3 part episode. However, after editing the voice tracks, the AIO team discovered that the episode is 18 minutes too long. Rather than cut 18 minutes from the story, they decided to make it into AIO’s first regular 4 part episode. Nate Jones is doing the sound design for this episode.
o This episode was originally planned for Album 54 but was pushed back to this album to make room for the episodes including Penny.
    * The two part episode from this album will be directed by Nathan Hoobler and contains 2 actors from A Penny Earned. (hmmmm)
    * Bob Hoose will also be directing some episodes.
    * This album is Nathan Hoobler’s favorite since the relaunch. (hmmmm)

At least 2 episodes will have parental warnings on them. (cool!!!)

    Child’s Play
    Mistaken for Good
    Srgt. York 1,2,3, and 4
    The Labryinth 1,2, and 3
    To Mend or Repair
I wonder what the two parter is called….

    Gw-

Well, the NinjaGirl thing is a long story. In short, my cousin/best friend/sister/anything you can think of was being a little crazy. She sent out an email to a couple of our friends and assigned emoticons to us all. Mine was the ninja emoticon(which unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to make on here). Plus, I play the hand game Ninja–which is super fun when it’s muddy out site.

    @Hannah-

I first typed up my comment on Word and then leftclicked at the end of my comment. Then I dragged my mouse upwards until the whole comment was sorta kinda hightlighted(for lack of a better word). Then you rightclick and the click on the copy button. After that you go to this site and in the comment box, rightclick and then click on the paste button. Once your long comment pops up into the box, don’t change anything. FTU came up with this. Cool, ain’t it?

  • Jeremiah on December 2nd, 2011 - 9:17am

    @FTU: Good luck!

@Elysibeth: Don’t ever let anything just be “good enough” for you; there’s always more you can do, and don’t you EVER say you can’t do something until you’ve tried it and done it. Just tell yourself you can, and you will! If you tell yourself that you can’t, then your mind is made up and you won’t be able to do it until to tell yourself you can. Yes, that applies to trig, too.

  • Elysibeth on December 2nd, 2011 - 9:20am

Oh, BTW, Elysibeth, if you want to make the “long-comment process” a little bit shorter, you can, when you’re finished typing in your comment, rather than highlighting the whole thing, on your keyboard press ctrl+a to select everything you’ve typed, then ctrl+c to copy it. Make sure you don’t use ctrl+v to paste it, though. You have to right click and select paste for it to work right! :)

My siblings and I have the GRC, Clanging Cymbals, and the Truth Chronicles. For the rest we have to rely on here and on our library. :) Oh well.

  • Shinobu on December 5th, 2011 - 1:32pm

Jason Whittaker discovers a life-threatening plot in the works after he tracks the villainous Mr. Grote to London. In Odyssey, rumors fly when a wedding brochure is mistaken for an announcement and everyone thinks Connie is getting married. Eugene and Katrina hear unsettling news about their future. And Kids’ Radio tells the exciting story about how a back-country man with a simple desire for peace winds up on the front lines of World War I. Amidst all of the conflict and comedy, our pals in Odyssey learn that being in over their heads can be a very touching and funny experience when God is put in the center of it all.

lol. The Former NinjaGirl. I like that. :) Dudette is an awesome word. When I am amazed or exasperated I’ll say “Dude!!”(I sound like such a dork :) ). Shinobu actually means someone doing something in secret, so it goes along with ninja theme. :D

Yeah, technically it should be mistress, but it doesn’t quite sound right. I’m still working on it. :) Ninjas have to sound cool, y’know. Got any ideas?

For Bible Quizzing, there’s these things called quotes(where-duh!!-you quote the verse). Well mine was Hebrews 11:34, which starts with the word who. I said the verse in my head, and started to say it out loud. But instead of saying quote( like I was thinking in my head) I said who. Urgh! :( And so, because I was supposed to say quote before I said who, I got it wrong. Confused? Good. :) I constantly live there. :D

Anyway), who” and that’s when I stood up. See, we had these little pad thingies that we had to sit on, and they were connected to a board with a bunch of lights on it. Whoever stood up first would have their light go off. Anyways, I got the question right! (The answer was David, in case you were wondering) Maybe I’m ADD or something like…SQUIRELL! Oh, sorry. You’ve seen “UP”, right? You know, the Disney/Pixar film!

I’ve got a quote for ya! This one’s from everyone’s favorite geek (no, I’m not talking about myself): “*gasp* Loudly exclaimed euphemisms escape me!”

  • RJOY on December 12th, 2011 - 12:45pm

@ Shinobu a.k.a Elysibeth, why would you change your name to Shinobu? I need help pronouncing it. Is the ‘Shin’ pronounced like the word ‘shin‘? (BTW, to those who don’t know what shin is: 1. Front part of the leg from below the knee to above the ankle. 2. The lower portion of the foreleg in cattle, used as a cut of beef in stews. 3. The 22nd letter of the Hebrew alphabet, represented in the English alphabet as “sh”) Is the letter ‘o’ like the ‘oh’ in “Oh, my!”? And is the b like “Boo!” and the u like pronounced like ‘you’? So it would be like: Shin+ oh+ boo+ you, right? I’m sorry if this is confusing but I’m sure getting a lot of fun out of it! :D :D Shinobu…Shinobu…VERY interesting! What does it mean? Did you make it up? How clever!

  • Shinobu on December 12th, 2011 - 3:28pm

    Jeremiah-

It’s okay that you wished my sis happy birthday late—my brother Jesh(or Joshua or Buddy or Boba Fett…man we are a family for nicknames. Oh yeah, Drool Monster was a good one too. :) ) wished her happy birthday twice on Sunday—the day after her birthday. Yeah, she is now officially a teenager. Scary!!!
I have the hardest time remembering what the question was after I answer it. I once got a question where it was the one that would get me my quiz out perfect score and—gasp—said the wrong reference. Luckily that is allowed and although I said the wrong thing, I was still thinking the right reference in my head. :) I got it right. But I have absolutely NO memory of the words that came out of my mouth. We have the pads and the boards too. But my friend Jason(who is a quizzing genius) came up with a program that allows people to have computers instead of the boards. It is amazing!! He remembers when they didn’t even have boards(or quizsets as we call them here). Quizzing is awesome. Lucky for me, I am D-O-N-E memorizing Hebrews. As I told my cousin Emily(also my teammate) if I study anymore, my head is going to pop off. And that won’t be pretty. :) How long has it been since you did Quizzing? Thousands and thousands of years? Jk. ;) You’re not that old. I think your type of quizzing may be a little different than ours, because, unfortunately, we don’t do the Old Testament…even though we have added the books Revelation and Mark to the cycle. Quizzing over Psalms 119 would be interesting. :)
And yes, I have seen Up. That’s my piano teacher’s favorite movie line. She says it when we get sidetracked. She’s…unique. :) But fun! “The Cone of Shame” was pretty funny too. :) Oh, and try having an ADD quizzing teammate…or two of them. Car rides are very interesting with them…

Shinobu is the Japanese word for someone doing something in secret(as in my case, praying). I found it in Elijah Creek and the Armor of God–an amazing book. :) And although I do not know exactly how it is pronounced, I believe that is the right way. :)

    Kismint-
I was riding the marathon at home on our stationary bike. I got bored, so I took my book down to the basement and rode until I was done reading. Needless to say, I was wiped out that evening. :)

You make me laugh too. You actually remind me a lot of my best friend. She’s the one who randomly emails me about warbly socks and ding dong cookies. :) She never would call herself a Dudette, because she is quite the tomboy–except when it comes to painting her nails. She’s quite the girl when it comes to that. In case you’re wondering, I’m half tomboy half slightly out of the normal teenaged girl. :) I hate pizza and talking on the phone. :D

  • Jeremiah on December 14th, 2011 - 10:50am

@Shinobu: Man, you really do talk…er, write a lot, don’t you! Let’s see….the longest bike ride I’ve ever taken was a 12 mile round trip. However, I have hiked a bunch of trails here in Utah, the Grand Canyon and Pike’s Peak in a matter of about 4 days (not straight; I was stuck in a van for several hours at a time when we travelled from place to place). And no, it wasn’t thousands of years ago…more like hundreds. No, I’m just jokin’. It’s been about – oh, probably 5, 6, 7 years. Oh, and for anyone that’s still wondering about my age (*AHEM* FTU!) I’m legally allowed to go to a bar now – not that I’m ever, EVER going to. And none of you should either. Just sayin’.

@Kismint: SQUIRREL?! Oh….sorry. I meant “un-original”? Is that really even a word? And who said she had to be a “former ninja girl”? For all I know, she still is a ninja girl. She’s probably like lurking behind every corner for me to do something stupid so she can like tie me into a knot or something. Scary. Wait…you’re not actually gonna do that, are you, Elys……ehm, Shinobu?

Oh, I almost forgot CHINCHILLA! ……uuuuhmmmm….well, that was embarassing. Sorry Regollin. Where was I? I mean, what was I saying? Oh yeah. Hey Shinobu, yeah we did both testaments, but the last year we did it we were in James. I should explain that each year would cover a different book (or two if the books were really short). We’d quiz for I think two or three months and each week or so we’d do a new chapter. There were thirty questions per quiz and if anyone answered more than five, they’d “quiz out” and have to go sit down. When we were done quizzing we’d do some kind of really fun activity or sing or something, then someone would preach. I remember my last quiz we played “Name that Tune” once. It’s a really fun game – if you’ve nover played it before, you should really try…anyways. There I go being ADD again. But the “tune” was “Glory to His Name”. The prize was a huge chocolate candy bar. I STOOD UP FIRST! *sniffle sniffle* Okay, I’m not really upset about it. But my best friend Abby stood up a split second after and got called first. She’s a musical genius – well, she’s just a genius type – so of course she got it. Where was I going withy that? Oh, yeah. Quizzing. So yeah, I think if we’d kept on until now the system would be totally better. The only reason we quit was because it seemed like the two groups for our church were the only ones putting much work into it, since we never lost – well, okay, I think we lost once. I should also explain that we participated with several other churches in the area on the quizzes.

Anyways, I’ve got to go work on some hydraulics! Yeah, sounds real fun, doesn’t it? By the way, why are you very tired and running around like a chicken with your…its…head cut off? I though ninjas weren’t supposed to get tired OR get their heads cut off. Auuggh! Darned u! I keep typing nunja!

Boy, I really DO talk a LOT, eh, Shinobu?

  • sHINOBU on December 14th, 2011 - 11:11am

Jeremiah you make me laugh SO much. :) Thank you for doing that because I am going through a really tough time in my life. And trust me, I am still a ninjagirl. I used to pin my cousin Jacob against the wall until he got bigger and started taking Tae Kwon Do. Then I was on the wall. :) I love James! I cannot wait until we do that in my ministry. And yeah, we do it at another church in a bigger town, cos we only have three teams from my town. That’s okay, cos two of my best friends are from there. I would get them to post on here, but since I only get to see them once a month–and I don’t know if they like AIO– I have yet to succeed. I’ll get you yet, Shea and Jonathan!!(And yes, Shea is a boy even though his name is a little…different. :) ) Hydraulics sound interesting. :) Not as much fun as sitting on the floor with a chair on your head, I bet. Trust me, I know how that feels. Not cool. :) This year for quizzing we’re doing Mark, Hebrews, and 1 and 2 Peter. I am trying to make it into the top ten from my ministry. That would be awesome.
And the reason why I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off was cos, like I said, my family is going through a tough time( i.e. my grandma has cancer and is in the hospital) so I am Babysitter 24/7. Naturally I’ve been running around like crazy. But things are getting better. :) And yeah, you do talk a lot. But so do I. :)

And since I am too tall to crawl underneath the chairs we were using(tells you how short the chairs were) my fellow actors thought it would be cute for me hold my chair on my head. Humph. My head didn’t think it was so cute.

    Elisabeth,
Do you play ninja almost like fighting? Like with your sibs of friends? I could not tell what you meant!
    Everyone!
Could yall please tell me how ya’ll like this? I am hoping ya’ll think it is good!

It was a beautiful winter day! The soft white snow was all over the flat ground, and the fox made its way silently through the snow, its prints were left behind and it wagged its tail every time a song bird cheerfully sang its soft melody. The fox however went on with its red head bent towards the white carpet.

Now eleven year old Lindy Gale was just outside the old white farmhouse at that time, her blond hair was in two pig tail braids and she had on a blue jumper and was heading out into the woods to play. She was tall for her age and loved the outdoors very much! Now as she went around the bend she just happened to see the magnificent fox head down and walking! How excited Lindy was! For the first time on the small farm there was a fox.
Lindy of course full of curiosity followed the fox deep into the woods, it walked soundly and never turned around! Lindy was so interested she forgot to be afraid.

Now the fox was walking pleasantly and never knew that a little human was following it. Soon the fox looked up and right before it was a medium sized cave. The cave had a pretty green ivy coat all over it, vines dangled down and covered the entrance so as when the fox walked in the vines brushed on its smooth silk red side. Lindy now gained her séances and she knew to never go into a wild animals den! But she was curious on what went on inside their and what the fox would do if it came out! So Lindy now turned around quietly and ran back to the white farm house!

“Daddy! Daddy!” Lindy’s sweet excited voice rang out through the house, “I saw a red fox! I saw a red fox!”
This is just a little of my chapter! Hope ya’ll enjoy!

  • Shinobu on December 23rd, 2011 - 12:50pm

Chief Mazali stormed into the police lunchroom. Caine quailed under his fierce glare, but I was too exhausted to react. I did have to choke back a laugh when I saw his long flannel pajamas—apparently he’d left as soon as Caine called.
Without speaking, he came over to me. I was sitting by a table, trying not to doze off. My adrenaline from my evening escapade was wearing thin. My shoulders slumped. How had someone from Magen David come to kill me? I knew people would find out about my mission, but I hadn’t figured on it happening so soon. It scared me in a way. It made me feel…hunted. And I didn’t like that.
“Jack?” Mazali broke my reverie. He looked concerned. “Are you awake?”
I sighed. “Yeah, I’m awake, Chief Mazali.” A flood of relief rushed through me. Before now, I’d always gone to Avenger when I was troubled or felt like someone was on my tail. Now, I guessed that Mazali was the one to look at for safety. “I’m glad you’re here,” I said truthfully.
He pulled up a chair. “They didn’t hurt you, did they?”
“No,” I said, then went on to explain about what happened. Caine had already told him on the phone, but I knew he wanted to hear it from me.

  • Shinobu on December 23rd, 2011 - 12:51pm

“So they said you would die if you said any more about Magen David?” Mazali mused, rubbing his stubbly chin. “Does that scare you?”
    “No,” I said again.
“Then you think it’s a false threat.”
“No,” I said for the third time. “I just don’t care any more whether I live or die.” This was true. Sometimes, when everything was just so hard—like when Cody died—I wanted to never wake up again. I no longer cared about my life.
Mazali looked shocked. Inwardly, I shrugged. If he’d gone through what I had, he would understand. But never in a thousand years would I have guessed his next move.
Suprising me—and I suspect him too—he settled a heavy hand on my shoulder. The act was so tenderhearted that I was put off guard for a moment. “But I care.”
I looked at him with wide eyes. He cared about what happened to me? I suddenly felt guilty. In my whole life, I’d never thought about anyone other than myself, and yet this guy was admitting that he cared about my life? I squirmed.
Mazali spoke again. “Jack, I’m not sure how to explain this to you. I feel…I think God had called me to protect you. Every time I consider tossing you out into the streets where Avenger can get you, I feel sick to my stomach and I hear a voice telling me to protect your life.” He narrowed his eyes at me. “I think there’s something about you that God wants and although I can’t see it yet I know what I need to do.” I stared at him in confusion. God wanted me? I wanted to laugh. There were times when I wondered if there actually was a God, but I wasn’t exactly gung-ho about a “Divine Ruler”. Human ones were bad enough.

  • Shinobu on December 23rd, 2011 - 12:52pm

I saw that he had something more to say. “Jack. You’re coming home with me.”
“What!” I jumped when Caine exploded. I’d been so focused in on Mazali that I hadn’t noticed him drawing in closer and closer, like a hungry shark. “That’s dangerous, sir, if you know what I mean.” He scowled at me. “He’s a wanted man. If his story is true.”
Mazali turned to deal with him. “So sue me.” He rolled his eyes. “Caine, I know the possibilities of this action. But if they know he’s here, I’m a target already.”
    “But your family?”
He hesitated, but nodded assuredly. “My family’s fine. We have what you might call “insurance.”” He said this with a quirked twist to his mouth.
As we walked out to his car, I mulled over what he said about me. He wanted to protect me? From what? Avenger? That was hardly possible. I scoffed at the idea of him protecting me from that dangerous force. Plus, what if I didn’t want his protection?

@Shinobu: Hey, that’s great! Although, I’d like, if I may, to offer some suggestions…

First: instead of “My adrenaline from my evening escapade”, try “The adrenaline from last evening’s escapade” (or yesterday evening’s escapade). Try not to be redundant with your pronouns.

Try “Mazali interrupted my troubled thoughts” or “‘Jack.’ I interrupted my troubled thoughts to gaze up at Mazali’s face. It had concern written all over it.”

More to follow…but that’ll do for now, I think!

  • Shinobu on December 25th, 2011 - 11:07am

Thank you Jeremiah! I appreciate the helpful criticism. I am on chapter Six of my book and although I am nowhere near done, I think it’s going pretty well. :)

Have I said you make me laugh?!!!! You are awesome. I don’t like skirts either. My mom laughs at me when I wear my blue Converse shoes with my gauchos or skirts. Hey, they’re more comfortable than flats or high heels. :)

Heh heh, I like the sound of being undercover. Top secret NinjaGirl. :P
